I do something like that with cron: +bin/twiddle.sh -s localhost:1099 get "jboss.jca:service=ManagedConnectionPool,name=DefaultDataSource" MaxSize MaxConnectionsInUseCount+ You can get the attributes you want and write it to a logfile.
