[JBoss Seam] - booking example problem, able to register but cannot login
by vice
I'm having problem with the booking example in seam 1.01GA. Whe I try to log in with username Gavin and password foobar, it replyies with this kind of error problem:

It's very confusing because I can register with no problem but when I try to log in it shows error message. Anyone know why?

[JBossWS] - Problems returning arrays from Webservice Method
by kaza
Hello,
I have a simple Webservice with one method
@WebMethod public ServiceWSArray getServiceInfos( Long serviceProviderId ) throws UnknownServiceProviderException;
It returns a ServiceArray which in fact is a wrapper that contains ServiceWS elements. I generated my client stubs with wstools and it creates the ServiceWSArray as expected
/*
* JBossWS WS-Tools Generated Source
*
* Generation Date: Thu Oct 26 15:23:00 CEST 2006
*
* This generated source code represents a derivative work of the input to
* the generator that produced it. Consult the input for the copyright and
* terms of use that apply to this source code.
*/
package com.siemens.ivon.soap.client;
public class ServiceWSArray
{
protected com.siemens.ivon.soap.client.ServiceWS[] value;
public ServiceWSArray(){}
public ServiceWSArray(com.siemens.ivon.soap.client.ServiceWS[] value){
this.value=value;
}
public com.siemens.ivon.soap.client.ServiceWS[] getValue() { return value ;}
public void setValue(com.siemens.ivon.soap.client.ServiceWS[] value){ this.value=value; }
}
When I call the WS method from within a junit test I see the complete soap message comes in but the tests throws the following error. Can anybody help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong or is this a known bug. I'm using JBoss 4.0.4 GA with EJB3.
Thanks
Erik

[Security & JAAS/JBoss] - Re: Principal from Servlet to EJB not propagating?
by forumer
Thanks for your reply.
Empty password is intentional and is specified in users.properties as such as shown below. An exception is caused and login does fail if I specify a non-empty password in users.properties:
| fm_full=
|
roles.properties is:
| fm_full=FullUser
|
Here is an excerpt from trace/debug log output. As you can see login is happening. However, the servlet, after doing the login is dispatching to jsp and what is disturbing is "runAs: null". Could this be the problem and what can be done to resolve this?

To reiterate, I am expecting the call to the EJB method to fail as I have specified a non-existing roles in @RolesAllowed.
Thanks

[JBossCache] - slow JBoss startup in a 4 machine cluster
by mnewcomb
When running JBoss in clustered mode there is a relatively long pause when the TreeCache starts up. After it prints the GMS information for the cache, it sits there for 15+ seconds (for the first machine) then finishes starting up.
Then, when for each other cluster node I start, it pauses at the same place but for increasing times.
Member 1: 17 seconds
Member 2: 14 seconds
Member 3: 64 seconds
Member 4: 74 seconds
It is the standard JBoss 4.0.4 installation, but I know the cache uses JGroups and it's pausing inside of the cache initialization.
The CPU/network are all not being hit, so, I'm assuming that it could be something with the JGroups configuration?
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Michael
Below are the cache portions of the JBoss logs for each member. I've placed '**********' around the slow parts of each log. For brevity, I only pasted the whole cache section of member # 1 but I pasted the slow portions of each other member.
