I've been trying to access my seam components within my servlet without success. I keep getting null instances. Are you sure the login is happening properly? In your handler, i see that the Password is an empty char array. What are the contents of your users.properties and roles.properties? More importantly ,try and obtain the TRACE level logs of jboss security package as mentioned in Q4 at: http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SecurityFAQ Those logs will help in identifying the issue. Yes, I know the notification schema, but aparently it might be different from the instance loaded by the subscription manager. The problem I have is that I can't find code examples, all references I have found so far refer to thee descriptors being changed: e.g. "If you want to load an existing Standard MBean as an XMBean .... then you obviously need to write an xmbean descriptor" So, you don't need to change the Java code? When I instantiate & register my XMBean (without descriptor) do I need to do something like: server.registerXMBean ? and something like, server.getMBean().setPersistence(true) any examples? maybe in JBoss' own source code? It just shows you the port 8080, actually it runs (the http listener port is) on 9080. For example, if you click on the wsdl link, you will get an error page, but if you change the port in the URL to 9080 - you will see the wsdl. Please note that the address listed in the wsdl is 8080 too, so if you are going to use it (for JSR-181 client for example) you will have to override the address. Do you see any exceptions in the server.log. If yes, please post them. The most likely cause will be that the com.rev.sips.ejb.QuestionFacadeHome is not found in the classpath. Only the logs can confirm this.
