[Remoting] - Re: Failed to accept socket connection

This is puzzling. The client side failed during ssl handshake, but the server side either (1) succeeded with the handshake and got unexpected header bytes, or (2) bypassed the handshake and mistook the handshake protocol bytes for object stream header bytes. The only way I can think of for (2) to occur would be if somehow a plain vanilla ServerSocketFactory is being used on the server side. Could you set the logging level for org.jboss.remoting to DEBUG in $jboss_home/server/$my_server/conf/log4j.xml? The output of | log.debug("Created server socket factory: " + serverSocketFactory); | should appear. Just a thought. Well, there's ejb-jar.xml and servlet.xml files... But JBossers usually use MBeans and JMX for configuration information, which is why there's little support for storing things as JNDI keys. JBoss creates a classloader for you, given the JMX ObjectName name. I'm not sure how you specify what sort of object it is, I believe that's something fixed by the deployer. Why do you need to customize it? [JBoss Seam] - security example problem

Hi!, I followed the instructions from wiki to config the authentication model. but I got the following exception: org.jboss.seam.RequiredException: In attribute requires value for component: authenticatorAction.entityManager. It seems the entityManager attribute could not be created even with (create=true) Anybody know what the reason that might cause this problem? [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - client app requesting 4.0.5.GA ejb3 session bean works only

My code, which worked fine under 4.0.4.GA-P1 now exhibits a works-only-once behavior under 4.0.5.GA (ejb3 via jems beta 3 installer) when using a client app calling container logic (stateless session bean with data access methods). Only by stopping jboss, clearing the tmp & work caches, and restarting jboss can I get it running again... for one shot. Well, maybe clearing the caches isn't truly needed, but I can vouch for the observation that undeploying/redeploying the ear in a running jboss instance (and then trying the client app again) ain't enough. 2) It's not evident in the comment. You assume that we know what all the plugins of JBossIDE 2.0.0.Beta2 are. On the download page is a huge list of different zip files, and we don't know which ones are included in this download. 3) What is part of this JBossIDE 2.0.0.Beta2? Again, there are so many different zip files on the download page...are all those zip files included as part of JBossIDE? Must the "all plugins" be downloaded ON TOP OF this for a full installation? 4) JSF and JPA plugins are a part of Webtools 1.5.1. So if you don't include them in your bundle, you can't say anywhere that you include Webtools 1.5.1. VERY misleading if I am correct...am I? - Difference between Hibernate Tools and Dali JPA? - Difference between Hibernate Tools and EJB3 Tools? (Seeing as how JBoss EJB3 is built on Hibernate.) - What's included in JBossIDE-Core-2.0.0.Beta2.zip? - What's included in JBossIDE-JBossAS-Tools-1.0.0.Beta2.zip? It'd be very beneficial to us if you could simply include a list of exactly what zip files are included as part of each download. (For example, downloading JBossIDE-Core-2.0.0.Beta2.zip gets you the following...) It'd be much easier than us trying every single download. (By the way, the download page can be much better documented for users who want a custom install.) The datasource will be bound to java:/MyAppDS jndi-name(in this example). From your web application, you can do a jndi lookup of this datasource, using the jndi-name that you have specified for the datasource, which will return you a Datasource object. You can then invoke the getConnection() method on the returned object.
