[Security & JAAS/JBoss] - A login model like the one used on jboss.com

I am looking for a model like the one used on www.jboss.com. What I would like to do is have unathenticated users have access to the servlets in a "read only" mode, but for authenticated users to be able to use the same URLs but now get the page rendered with a form and data entry widgets. I don't have a problem coding the servelts to get the principal and determine how their pages should be rendered. But I can't figure out how to configure the login modules so that the servlets have a security domain but to stop the login form or HTTP popup being displayed when the site is first entered. This is dependant upon finding a way to set the security context for the session from within my code running within the JBossAS? Any clues in this area whould be helpful too. Are you still experiencing the problem? I just downloaded Portal 2.4.0 bundled and it works as expected on OS X 10.4.8 with JSE 5. I'm going to check with 1.4.2 but I don't anticipate it to work any worse. As I understand it: JBoss Messaging is the next-gen messaging system targeted for JBoss AS 5.x. The current implementation is JBossMQ. "JMS RA" refers to the JMS Resource Adapter. In the ATM example, the jBPM scheduler is configured to poll for new timers every 120 seconds. You can specify the polling interval in web.xml. Please refer to the user guide for details. Note that the responseTimeout value only defines the time jBPM BPEL will wait for a response to come back in the internal queue. The socket timeout value is defined by the client. JAX-RPC devises no portable way to set the client timeout. In JBoss, you can cast the dynamic proxy to javax.xml.rpc.Stub and set the "org.jboss.webservice.client.timeout" property to an Integer value of your choice. Under JBoss 4.0.4.GA and later versions, the property name "org.jboss.ws.timeout" is preferred over "org.jboss.webservice.client.timeout" to set the timeout property. hello, I have the same problem (for the same reason : trying to build my own UserPortlet). how did you solved this ? it seems to be a problem of class loader, with hibernate not finding it's transaction... Du to the fact that the "new" user portlet" is calling the UserModule from another war... but I don't see much more right now. any help will be great. Through the management portlet. Select the instance, then click on "preferences" (i think) on the right side. You can modify the landing page of the CMS instance. Thanks I did this and it worked. I then deployed the EJB3 from the JBoss Messaging sample. It deployed, but I can't call it (assume class mismatch since I no longer have Jboss messaging installed). Stupid question ... from the announcement on R9 it says: "The biggest change is that we switch MDB to be fully JCA Inflow based. This means that the JMS RA is required to be used. " Is "JMS RA" the same thing as JBoss Messaging?
