I am using 3.1 and Process Designer within Eclipse (Downloaded JBoss IDE). When I choose to create a new process the wizard ask me for a JBoss jBPM Runtime, but I want to run the process as stand-alone so what do I choose here? If I click [next] the next screen will not allow me to click [finish]. How are you deploying your datasource? Are any of the JDBC jars contained in the lib directory or your WAR? Do any of the JDBC jar files reside in an EAR? Typically we see this error when a user tries to deploy the jars inside of an application archive and not in the server/server-config/lib directory. [JCA/JBoss] - Re: NestedSQLException: Apparently wrong driver class specif

I was having the same problem and also switched to jtds, but the problem remains. My connection is failing randomly with "Apparently wrong driver class specified for URL" error. The connection will fail this way over and over again, then will randomly begin to work. It's maddening! Is anyone else experiencing this? I want to keep my application property files in external directories and application read it from there. Is there a default working/startup directory in JBOSS to keep the property files? [JNDI/Naming/Network] - EJB Unbinds autoamtically

Hi There, I have deployed EJB3.0 on JBOSS4.0.4 on Solaris-Sparc OS. For some reason my EJB's JNDI names are unbinding itself, if left running the JBOSS server overnight. It throws "NameNotFoundException" when i try access the next day. Anyone come across this problem or any ideas what i may be doing wrong? I havent modified any config files as far as i know. Thank you Peter for your help. While I did not get many of my other questions answered - I do seem to now have a JBoss application server running in my home directory. WIll move to /opt and run again. Had to load JDK first though. The run.sh refused to run with just jre. Another small detail missed in section 1.1 The rest of the guide I will have to say - does seem to be more complete then the very first section. [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Depends on what service in order to have "ConnectionFactory"

I've written a service bean that I would like to have the JBoss microcontainer start for me. It implements the necessary life cycle methods. However, when the server starts the bean for me - the code attempts to create a JMS topic. It looks up the "ConnectionFactory" jndi name - but that name is not yet set. I receive an error. This is the xml that I put into the jboss-service.xml file. As you can see - I do wait for the naming service. However, who sets up the connection factory name? Who should the bean "depend" on? Do you really think it is kludgy? The problem arises out of the fact that my cache loader impl is calling an external service that returns more data than I wish to store in a single node. I can put it in terms of the Student/ Course sample that comes with jboss-cache. ( The node names are overly simplified to make the point easier. ) :) Assume I have an object node bound to a fqn called /teacher/Jones/ and that 'get' results in a cache miss that triggers a call to my custom cache loader. What should I do if my custom loader call returns 'extra' data. Let's say it returns a set of students in addition to the teacher object. JBC works fine if I plan on stuffing the 'extra' data into the node's Map, but what if I want to bind that data? That would be reasonable in this case. I could see creating nodes for '/student/Brown' , '/student/Jones', etc... In my case, I am calling existing legacy services that happen to return this extra data in this fashion.
