I see clearly that priorities are taken in consideration. This is implemented on BasicPrioritizedDeque... Maybe the message is already consumed when the next message arrives. I don't think there is a bug... but if you find anything maybe you could write a small testcase showing the problem you're having. [EJB 3.0] - Modifying the class of a persisted entity

I am modifying an application where an ancestor class is persisted before asking the user what type he wants to use, where some types are descendant classes. Once a class is persisted, is it possible to modify the class type to be a descendant class? For example, class Pet{} class Dog extends Pet{} ..... Pet p = new Pet(); entityManager.persist(p); ..... Dog d = new Pet(p); ??? entityManager.persist(d); In general, I can't find a lot of information about how to use inheritance withc EJB3. Can anyone point me to some good links? but inner classes should have full access to outer classes (fields/methods), right? and I define an User variable and assign some value in constructor, it works fine in the inner class. the difference is @In or not. Jaikiran, thanks for your response. I have found no relevant exceptions in the server log. It lists step by step how this particular EJB is deployed, no issues there. There only one exception in the entire file related to myfaces-impl.jar (I do however have this jar in the lib of the war I am deploying). | java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\jboss-4.0.4.GA\server\default\deploy\jbossweb-tomcat55.sar\jsf-libs\myfaces-impl.jar | I do not think this exception is related to my problem.
