[JBossWS] - Enabling transport compression with JBossWS

I am using JBoss-4.0.4.GA and JBossWS-1.0.1.GA to develop JSR-109 POJO service endpoints using the RPC/literal model. We are currently having performance issues with large objects so I am trying to enable transport compression with Tomcat. I've enabled compression in Tomcat per instructions in the Wiki and on the Tomcat site. I can see that compression is working with a telnet session, if "Accept-Encoding: gzip" is sent. I see using snoop that the J2SE client of the services does not setup HTTP1.1 for compression, the HTTP does not have "Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate" or anything like that. The HTTP1.1 Transfer-Encoding is also chunked so I hope that the compression will happen before chunking is done, will it? I have search the documentation and forums for information but have not found out how to get JBossWS to do HTTP1.1 compression. How do you enable transport compression with JBossWS? Just reading this real fast. Shouldnt it be "id" not "ticketId"? I dont see where you are telling the ticket that the name is "ticketId". [EJB 3.0] - Stateless session bean basics

If I have two stateless session beans, A and B, in one jar deployed within an EAR (only module of the EAR). I have the local interfaces of A and B part of the JAR and in the same package as the stateless session beans. When I try to inject B into A via @EJB3, it seems that the classloader can't find the interface file and barfs (then during runtime it tries to remote). I'm using JBoss 4.0.4.GA EJB3. What's going on here? Does the local interface have to be outside the package? Why? Thanks! Hi, Thanks for the reply. I downloaded jboss-ejb3 rc9, and according to the install.html I'm supposed to use ant to build and install into jboss. so I ran ant -f install.xml -Djboss.server.config=default[/coe] | | And it looks like it worked. You mixed the lines. You must write: | (...) | a.setName("F002"); | em.merge(a); | (...) | If you call persist or merge on an entity manager, the entity manager recognizes the state of the entities at this time. Changes which are made later to the entities doesn't bother him if they aren't followed by a merge operation. If the entity manager leaves the scope of a transaction, he persists the entitie states to the database. Thats the reason why your entity isn't updated.
