Peter: Thank you VERY much for your reply... Yes, I think this could be the issue I am facing....but I am perplexed on a clean solution. If I rip out the log4j.jar file from my projects and remove the all references from the projects, I am not able to compile the source code. If delete the jar files already in the deployed project on JBoss, the server still sees it and throws an error. What I think I need is a clean solution so I can build on my box and deploy the J2EE project over to JBOSS (also on my box) without and yanking of jars. How do you do it? This is because the deployer does not see the @WebService annotation. Does it have to do with the DOCTYPE? Please start with a working sample from the sample download. [JBoss jBPM] - Re: storing strings longer than 4000 in Context Variables?

So help me understand something here. The scripts that come with JBPM for mysql, specifically the mssql.create.sql script, does not work with mysql? At least, that is what I found and appears to be what you found with your 4000 issue. If this is the case, what is the point of having this mysql script if it is not mysql compatible? When I run the script from JBPM I get: "MySQL Error Nr.1064-You have an error in your SQL syntax. I just looked at the ejbgen documentation on BEA's website, and the XDoclet documentation. It is not that difficult to make the connections. A little experimentation, and Google got me what I needed. Our use of ejbgen was not that intense - my app uses stateless session beans, and stateless session beans are pretty straightforward. The javax.jws.* classes in jboss-ejb3.jar are stale and should be removed. jboss-jws.xml contains the updated/supported jws annotations. Well, who else would be sure? There is some very basic support for rpc/encoded. Specifically 1) soap arrays as bean properties 2) references among probably many other things don't work. There is an rpc/encoded marshalling test in the testsuite, beyond that we do not extend our support.
