[JBoss Seam] - 1.1.0B2 App framework and s:link

So here is my ordeal. I've taken a look at the contactlist code and am trying something similar in my app. So a list of items is presented on my main page with an s:link tag in the name column as so, using ui:repeat and table tags, just like the contactlist. ... <s:link view="/ItemEditor.xhtml" value="#{item.name}"> <f:param name="itemId" value="#{item.id}"/> </s:link> ... and in ItemEditor.xhtml I have ... #{item.name} Editor ... I only get Editor rendered on the screen. My guess is that the item object isn't being set in the conversation context. Can anyone explain what the f:param is doing and how that makes / should make the selected opject get stored in the conversation context. Am I on the right track? any ideas? Andy. Well, that makes more sense, since Seam is responsible for starting the Ejb component during its startup phase. Put: depends="org.jboss.seam.core.ejb" on your component (no caps!) Sounds more likely to be an Ajax4JSF thing. I'm not sure what Ajax4JSF makes of redirects. I bet you could reproduce this w/o Seam. Try. Hi, we have solved the problem for us now. We've been trying different combinations of JBoss and JGroups, and found that it works in the combination of JBoss 4.0.4 and JGroups 2.2.9. Alternatively, what also seems to work is JBoss 4.0.5 and JGroups 2.4. So I assume it is a bug in JGroups 2.2.7, which shipped with JBoss 4.0.4. The return value just tells you whether we successfully redirected. In most cases, its perfectly fine to just ignore the return value. And since we are redirecting, there is no need for a JSF outcome (use a void action method).
