Transactions only get stored in the map on the server when your transaction manager is doing 2PC and they have been successfully prepared. On commit or rollback they should be removed from the map. The fact they are not being removed implies to me that you're transaction manager is not calling commit or rollback for some reason. Can you enable trace logging on the server and look in the logs for the following strings? : | | created transaction | | commit process complete | | rollback process complete | | If you're not expecting rollbacks then you should see the same or similar number of "created transaction" and "commit process complete". [JBossWS] - DayTrader benchmark deployment

Hi, I am trying to deploy DayTrader (aka Trade 6 from IBM, now open sourced and hosted on Apache Geronimo website) http://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/GMOxDOC10/Day+Trader on JBoss 4.0.5 GA, Sun JDK 1.5 update 9 for x_64, and WebServices: jbossws-1.0.3.SP1. The ear is built using maven and is supposed to be JBoss compatible. I get following error during startup: ERROR [MainDeployer] Could not create deployment: file:/opt/jboss-4.0.5.GA/server/default/tmp/deploy/tmp20510daytrader-ear-optV61-astk-v3noAppClient.ear-contents/web.war org.jboss.ws.WSException: Cannot obtain java type mapping for: {http://daytrader.samples.geronimo.apache.org}>getMarketSummary at org.jboss.ws.deployment.JSR109MetaDataBuilder.buildParameterMetaDataDoc(JSR109MetaDataBuilder.java:451) at org.jboss.ws.deployment.JSR109MetaDataBuilder.setupOperationsFromWSDL(JSR109MetaDataBuilder.java:200) I tried looking up at forum posts and I got one post which had similar problem http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3958608 So it looked like bug/unsupported feature with the WebServices module. I tried building JBoss from source (JBoss 5.0 Beta), that did not worked either. Can someone help with this? the webapp in cvs is heavily under reconstruction. Lots of things probably do not work (yet). Could be that the newer gpd is also needed. [JBoss Seam] - Re: s:actionLink and JAAS

I hope I'm not missing something obvious, but I have been trying to piece together the steps to perform a JAAS login to a webapp and then instantiate my User entity bean and have it outjected into a Seam app. I've found many breadcrumbs but many are 6 months to a year old... I recall seeing a post recently about the Seam CVS containing some JAAS examples that are not included in 1.0.1.GA. Of course, I can't find that post now. :( I've search via google, the Jboss forums and Jboss wiki for "Seam JAAS login" but have not found a comprehensive guide to doing - what I think - should be a fairly common place function. Could you point me to the location of such examples and documentation on Seam's current JAAS capabilities? JBoss is using MyFaces. If you downloaded a JSF app from Sun then it is probably configured to use the Sun JSF implementation. I suspect you will need to change your web.xml to use the proper ServletContextListener. Also, you don't need all those jars you mentioned in your web app because they already ship with JBoss.
