[JCA/JBoss] - Re: DB2 XA connection problem - Non XA works

I tried installing the DB2 Application Development Client (http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/udb/support/downloadv8_linuxamd2... ), configured the client to connect to DB2 server, tested the connection through DB2 CLI and it works through CLI. However, I still get the same error during JBoss startup. Am I missing something here. The lack of data versioning makes this unreliable as you may invalidate remote data, which may be newer than the data you're inserting on your node due to race conditions. optimistic locking provides data versioning which gets you around this. I am migrating some code from hibernate2 to hibernate3 and I encountered the following while adding annotation to an entity bean: I have two fields: | @hibernate.column name = "EXT_ID" unique-key = "SECURED_OBJECTS_EXT_ID_TYPE_CODE_IDX" | | @hibernate.column name = "TYPE_CODE" unique-key = "SECURED_OBJECTS_EXT_ID_TYPE_CODE_IDX" | I noticed that both fields have the same unique-key, what does this stands for and how do I represent the unique-key in hibernate3? [JBoss Seam] - Seam Stateless Beans

I have this @Stateless bean with a setName() and getName() and a process() method. The first time I call process() via the page all is OK, but the second time the page calls getName() first, which still contains the previous value. [JBossWS] - Re: Enabling transport compression with JBossWS

I discovered that there were performance fixes with JBossWS and with JBossXB so I have followed the upgrade instructions and have upgraded to JBossWS-1.0.4.GA. The Web Services do work faster now but we will still have a performance issue. I would like to get transport compression working with JBossWS but still have not figured out how to do so. I am wondering if JBoss Remoting can be used to get compression working. As far as I can tell it seems like JBoss Web Services uses JBoss Remoting. JBoss Remoting has pluggable data marshallers and on the JBoss Remoting Wiki it states that there exists data compression marshallers/unmarshallers for compression of large payloads. Is there a configuration file that I can modify so that my JBoss Web Services Clients and Providers use the CompressingMarshaller and CompressingUnMarshaller? Is there another way to get transport compression to work with JBoss Web Services?
