Me again :-) I've implemented my own login provider, and to try to get a better understanding of whats being passed into it I added some debugging. [JNDI/Naming/Network] - Re: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.jnp.interfaces.Nam

This happens, both, when I run the client in Eclipse or by using Ant. All the client classes, including the one with main() method are packaged in a jar file which is included in the classpath. I place jndi.properties in c:\Temp and specify c:\Temp in classpath. It seems that this properties file is visible because the exception does mention the NamingContextFactory. If this file is not visible I get the error saying that the environment property should be specified. I'd like to have this property file outside a jar so it can be replaced without replacing the jar. I'd appreciate any ideas. [JBoss jBPM] - Problems jbpm 3.2alpha2 & ejb3 rc9

Hi, If I install ejb3 rc9 on the jbpm3.2alpha2 suite server, the server throws a lot of exceptions at startup. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance. [JBossWS] - Request didn't include a SOAP Message

Sorry for doppelt posting. I don't know if this issue is related to the jbpm or the JBossWS forum. My problem: when a running BPEL process call a web service. There is no SOAPMessage in the request send to the web service. How is this possible inside a workflow with jPBM-BPEL ? The service is well running and sending a SOAP Message to the service regarding his WSDL-specification is successfull. Is this issue related to the specification of the location of the soap:address-Element in the service.imp.wsdl? I mean the location of the wsdl file and the soap:adress-Refence are two things different not? If i specify the soap:adress-Refence as http://127.0.0.1:8089/context/serviceName i mean it's also OK. The SOAP message i'm sending will be included insinde the HTTP-Request to this resource. Where is the problem hier? can some one help me please ? [JBoss Seam] - Re: [OT] Seam and Tomahawk - lost property?

Tomahawk & Seam guys, is there a way we can end the flame wars? I am using Tomahawk and Seam together for two projects and have not had many issues (at least that I know of). Instead of saying don't use tomahawk or don't use seam, why don't we just work through bugs and fix the issues. Both libraries are very useful for us users (let us not forget the users) and it would be great to have them play together. If myfaces/tomahawk would just start creating bug fix releases instead of new functionality versions all the time, I'd be willing to help fix the bugs on their side. Lets quit the arguments and get these libraries to co-exist well. I'm sorry to bring this up again but I spent the last 10 hours trying to figure out how to do this with .xsd xml schemes with the result that I'm utterly sick & tired of this xml crap but nothing else. As far as I understood it external entities work only if one uses dtds not with xsds?! All I want to do is define a few elements in file1 and then include this in file2 - filexyz. So - _please_ can someone give me: 1. a short example how my file1 has to look 2. how to include file1 in file2+ (file2+ has to use .xsd schemes!) 3. how to reference the entities defind in file1 - i assume i should use '&foo;' Thanks for any help! [JBoss jBPM] - hibernate error when using jbpm on tomcat

We are receiving errors with Hibernate and JBoss 4.05. Can Hibernate 2 work with JBoss 4.05? I have seen documentation that Hibernate 3 is mentioned. The errors are that Hibernate is not bound and security expcetions indicating signer differences. If it is possible to run with JBoss 4.05 and Hibernate 2, I can post the exceptions. I had the JSR181EJB3 example from JBossWS 1.0.3/1.0.4 running well on JBoss AS 4.0.4/4.0.5 (after some painful patches). After I upgrade my JDK to 6.0, the same example generates the exception UnsupportedOperationException. I try to remove the javax.xml.SOAPMessage*.class from the jbossws-client.jar and let the example uses Java SE 6.0's JAX-WS API. but it seems that there are more APIs impacted. Java SE 6.0 provides amazing JAXWS 2.0 support. You can use its embedded HTTP web server to publish web services. New JAXWS 2.0 APIs are provided. I'm not sure if it's the same problem I had before, but MAYBE you have your jbpm-xxx.jar file duplicated in your classpath. Yeah - sorry. It's kind of obvious from the stack trace where you are calling from. You really should be doing JPA stuff from an environment that manages transaction support. I don't know much about quartz or its EJB3 support, so perhaps there is some way to appropriately configure it. If you really need to manage the transaction yourself you can look up the javax.transaction.TransactionManager under java:/TransactionManager and manage it yourself. But I'd recommend using services that manage the tx for you. Well, I haven't seen jBPM 3.1.3 source code, but in 3.1.2 the login bean (action controller) is handled by the same file you're seeing (jbpm-starters-kit-3.1.3\jbpm\src\java.webapp\org\jbpm\webapp\bean\UserBean.java). However, remeber this is NOT a regular web application, because it uses JavaServer Faces. You can take a look at the faces-config.xml (located in the jbpm.war directory) to see it for yourself how the UserBean is declared as controller for login.jsp. Hope that helps. Regards. I'm NOT completely sure, but you migth try to comment the next line in your hibernate.cfg.xml file: | <property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">update</property> | Also, you could use another user (with no provileges to create, drop, alter tables) to connect to your database, since the behavior you're seeing is being done by Hibernate (as far as I know, it's updating your database according your hibernate mappings, and is doing it by droping tables, in order to create the new tables). I think it would be great if there was some support for Maven2 together with Seam. I am not the only one that would want that because there where already several topics on this subject. There is already a DefaultDS data source declared in server/xxx/deploy/hsqldb-ds.xml. You will either have to delete that file, of use a different name for the SQL Server data source. I believe that, once you get a JbpmConfiguration instance and after you created a context with that instance, you can actually use getCurrentJbpmContext. sorry, but here it comes more information: 1) i used seam-gen to create a new project, created: User.java UserLogin.java UserLoginAction.java login.xhtml when deploy this first part of application, there is no problem to load the classes, everything is ok. I am using Quartz to invoke methods but I will have to admit to the inner working being 'magic' to me. I have just gone back to square one and tried a completely different approach as, since I last looked, quartz has EJB3 initilisation support. Ok I will not get the bijection capabilities I assume but will get a working EntityManager hopefully. Is this a far better approach? There must be a disconnect between where you placed the file and the classpath. How are you starting the client? Via Eclipse, NetBeans, Ant, command line? Also, exactly where are you placing the properties file and exactly what is the classpath? Are you creating a jar file that contains the client classes? If so, you could place the jndi.properties file in the base directory of the jar file. That should work. Found the answer, so just thought I would post it. JBOSS can perform URL rewriting via Tomcat and Valves. You need to modify the server.xml (or the context.xml within your webapp) and add the following valve. You then need to copy the jbossweb-rewrite.jar to you $SERVER/lib directory Then create a folder to store your rewrite.properties file. If you used server.xml and placed the valve within the context of the Engine then you need to create a folder called $SERVER/conf/<engine-name> So for me that was default/conf/jboss.web Create a file in there called rewrite.properties, enter your rewrite rules and cycle the server.
