Thanks for your response. All i did was adding <category name="com.example"> | <priority value="DEBUG" /> | </category> to /server/{server-configuration}/conf/log4j.xml but JBoss seems to ignore this entry (code is executed but the logging statement is omitted because the logging level is set to INFO). Is there any additional configuration necessary in the application or did you only add stuff to /conf/log4j.xml? On the other hand i got it working by removing log4j* from /server/{server-configuration}/lib and adding it to the top of my ear but then JBoss cries cause of the missing jars therefore this seems not the way to do it :(. I would expose your EJBs as services through JMX. How do you mark each one? [JBossCache] - Tutorial not working

When trying the tutorial file:///B:/tools/JBossCache-1.4.1.BETA/docs/tutorial/en/html/index.html The tutorial says: 1. On the first window for the GUI, type sh build.sh to see the available commands. To run the GUI, type sh build.sh run.demo . This is the error I get: JBossCache-1.4.0.SP1 1266>build.sh run.demo java.lang.InstantiationException: org.apache.tools.ant.Main at java.lang.Class.newInstance(I)Ljava.lang.Object;(Unknown Source) at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.run(Launcher.java:195) at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:55) 2. runShellDemo.sh, the screen does not shows up. I am running onLinux with Exceed. java -cp $CP $ARGS $JAVA_OPTS -Djboss.aop.aoppath=$AOP_PATH bsh.Console & When I remove the ampersand, the beanshell shows up. Buddy replication should not be used in a situation where you're expecting multiple servers to be concurrently modifying the same node. It's meant for use cases where one server owns the data. Buddy replication combined with INVALIDATION doesn't make sense. Invalidation means, "I have the latest data; you may be out of date, so throw away your data." Sending such a message to a limited subset of the cluster doesn't make sense.
