This is rather tricky, but you can use a DTD entity with a schema. Here's an example I just tested with components.xml: <!DOCTYPE components [ <!ENTITY myinfo SYSTEM "resource:WEB-INF/include.txt"> ]> <components xmlns:pay="http://jboss.com/products/seam/examples/seampay" xmlns:core="http://jboss.com/products/seam/core" xmlns:framework="http://jboss.com/products/seam/framework"> .... use &myinfo; somewhere Obviously "include.txt" here would would go in the WEB-INF dir next to components.xml. It's kind of tricky to get an entity reference that will work well both at runtime and in an xml editor. I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows a better solution. Soon after the above typo difference was fixed I noticed another one. When using various DataSources the method cases differ. Here they differ in the method for DataSource. Notice one is getDatasource, and the other is getDataSource. [JBossWS] - question on JBoss Classpath & JBossWS4EE

Hi, For each application (WAR, or EAR) you deploy on JBoss, how do you specify classpath PER application ? or is it not possible? there must be some config file you can set to specify the right JARs for each application? According to the webservice stack listed at http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=WebServiceStacks JBoss 4.0 supports JBOssWS4EE. How do you use JBossWS4EE to generate java stubs from WSDLs (similar to the WSDL2JAVA tool used by Axis). These questions are urgent, any answers are greatly appreciated !! sorry - i haven't answered earlier ... no - flush is NOT committing your transaction ! Your transaction is finished after you are leaving the SLSB --> when leaving the SLSB the container is running through several "intercepors" and is finishing the transaction - in other words it commits the changed data into the database !!! Before that - no other call can see the modified data (except you change the default behaviour of the container which is usually "read-commited") ! So if another thread of your frontend starts a second SLSB trying to modify the same entity it will still see the OLD data as long as the other call is not committed ! Thats why I asked you to "synchronize" your calls with the introduction of "version" which uses optimistic locking !!! You should get an exception in one of both transactions but not yours ;-) hope I could help you ... This enables or disables the up or down thread for each protocol. By default, each protocol has a down and up queue, serviced by 1 thread each. To reduce context switching, these can be turned off individually, for each protocol separately. I introduced this a long time ago, as I realized that the context switching overhead might be quite high. In JGroups 2.5, the threadless stack will get rid of them anyway. Found the problem. In jboss-beans.xml the property to use is connectionUrl. In embedded-jboss-beans.xml the property to use is connectionURL. Guess the caps differ here.
