Hi, I'm using jbpm for the first time but my question is about a workflow design so it's not jbpm specific. Does the following make sense? I just want a sanity check to see if I'm understanding how to create a workflow. Suppose we have a workflow with 2 tasks, begin -> Resolve Issue -> Sign -> end and I hook in an action at the transition between Resolve Issue and Sign to fire off an email. But then suppose we don't know how many issues must be resolved at design time, let's say there are 10 then my workflow would be begin -> Resolve Issues -> Sign -> end but the client wants an email fired off after each issue is resolved so would I begin -> Resolve Issues -> Decision: all issues resolved? -yes-> Sign -> end with this I can hook in the email between the Resolve Issues and the Decision tasks. and finally suppose they only want email sent for certain types of issues then this is decided in the action snippet with something like a plugin system, the snippet figures out if any email actions are plugged in for the type of issue that was resolved and fires it. This only happens under load? Very odd. Could you pls paste a bit more of the log - about 5 lines before and after? What version of Hibernate are you using and which CacheProvider? (From the log pattern I'm guessing you're using Hibernate!) [JBoss Portal] - Portal 2.4 - No Message Boards???

Is there any support for message boards / forums in JBoss Portal 2.4? The documentation for the user guide, reference guide, and quickstart guide all reference that "Message Boards" is one of the feature lists of JBoss Portal 2.4. However, no document gives further clarification to setup of bundled message board support. [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Access Log file (of tomcat embedded) rotation w/o jboss rest

Hello, I have set up JBoss 4.0.4GA, deployed many apps, working fine, no issues. Each application is generating a separate access log file "access.log". Right now I have stopped the default rotation of everyday by putting rotatable="false" attribute in $jboss_home/server-name/deploy/server.xml. I want to rotate this access files on a monthly basis w/o a restart of JBoss. I have tried the following, but they all ask for restart of JBoss server: - shell script archiving and then emptying by " > access.log" or "cp /dev/null > access.log", It empties the access.log, but after this nothing is logged until the jboss is restarted. How Can I avoid this restart ? Any suggestions? Regards, Rajesh. Of course FileCacheLoader wouldn't work; don't know what I was thinking :( Sorry, zambak, for the noise; thanks, Manik, so saving me with a better solution. carlabramsson's point about the advantage of replicating a pointer to a shared file rather than the image itself is a good one. Makes using the webserver to serve the file a bit trickier though. Is there a way to access and/or write resources such as mail-service.xml from my application deployed under JBoss without explicit filesystem path references? i.e. is there management interfaces for JBoss itself? I also believe that DAO isn't necessary anymore. But I do believe that some helper (or service) classes are a good thing.
