[JBoss Portal] - Can't use MyFaces sortable Data Table in JBoss Portal

I am trying to use MyFaces sortable Data Table in jboss-portal-2.4.0-CR3. It did not work. My portlet used MyFacesGenericPortlet and the default-view is sortTable.jsp as included in MyFaces samples. It showed the data but nothing happened when I clicked "Car Type" and "Car Color" in the header. It should sort the columns and toggle the arrow after I click the header. Any suggestions to make it work? [EJB 3.0] - Where am I going wrong...?

Hi all, using 4.0.4 GA and trying to get a simple stateless bean to work with no luck. Got a feeling its something to do with descriptors.., or rather the lack of. Yes, indeed, this was the problem. If you don't need WSRP, you can always remove the portal-wsrp.sar file from the jboss-portal.sar file as an alternative to upgrading JBoss WS. I have updated the installation instructions to mention this issue (this was already in the WSRP chapter of the reference guide). [EJB 3.0] - Need advice on refreshing @Version column

I need to merge changes an entity instance multiple times. The second merge causes an optimistic lock failure unless I "manually" update the version string: original.setVersion( em.merge( original ).getVersion() ); I cannot use the updated entity returned from merge because I have many reference to the original instance in several lists. Calling em.refresh( original ) after em.merge( original ) did NOT update the @Version column. Why doesn't refresh update the version column?
