[EJB 3.0] - MBean dependency in JCA adapter (within EAR)

Hi, I created an MBean using the @Service annotation which is packaged in a .jar file which goes in a .ear file. In the same .ear file there is a resource adapter (.rar) that depends on that service. Unfortunately, JBoss deploys and starts the resource adapter first and can therefore not find the MBean reference, because it's only deployed later in the same EAR deployment. How do I define a dependency of the resource adapter to the MBean? I tried @Depends on the resource adapter class but I guess that annotation only works for other MBeans. Also the RA's deployment descriptor doesn't seem to offer anything suitable. Any ideas? It can be. You have have your product programmatically add your action handlers to the process definition before you deploy a provided process to your database. You have full control over the process definition with the api. That's strange. http://fisheye.labs.jboss.com/viewrep/JBoss/jboss-seam/src/main/org/jboss... shows your code. But it doesn't work for me since getDelegate() returns an instance of org.hibernate.ejb.EntityManagerInstance. So I had to use this: ( (EntityManagerImpl) em.getDelegate() ).getSession().setFlushMode(FlushMode.NEVER); Now there aren't any auto-flushes anymore. But: explicit calls of flush() don't work either.javax.persistence.TransactionRequiredException: no transaction is in progressSo I think you must explicitely open and close transactions... what is not only a bit silly since it makes me lose some of EJB3s convenience stuff. It even doesn't work for me now: ejbCtx.getUserTransaction().begin() em.getTransaction.begin() ( (EntityManagerImpl) em.getDelegate() ).getSession().beginTransaction() ( (EntityManagerImpl) em.getDelegate() ).getSession().getTransaction().begin() ... they all throw Exceptions So this is where I'm stuck ^^.
