Oh yeah, one more thing... Stay as far away from JSF as possible. I recently had to scrap half a project because of serious flaws in both the implementation (MyFaces) and the specification. There are some really good ideas in the specification (i.e. IoC), but also some really really bad ones (i.e. total lack of control over markup) . Its fine for writing toys, and simple forms, but in my opinion, its just not ready for real application development. The above are some fine suggestions, but realistically I would advise you to learn Struts, install the Struts Bridge, and go from there. Coding raw portlets is, to put it mildly, unproductive (unless you really know what you're doing, and you're implementing functionality that just can't be done any other way). PLEASE WRITE A UNIT TEST!!!!!! OR POST THE FULL STACKTRACE WHERE YOU GET THE ERROR (no my keyboard is not stuck) and now you posted at least some additional code it is clear that I did something completely different in my test. I used a process definition and you use a process instance. Ok, so I changed my test case a little, and it still works. So you are either in a different node type or something else. If you do not post a good stacktrace with a unit test in the next post, I have to stop helping you. [JBoss Seam] - How can I get jsf error pages to work similar to the blog sa

In my case I get "Exception Processing ErrorPage" when I try to access a jsf page that does not exist such as doe.jsf. According to the following post on one of the mailing lists, having jsf/xhtml to handle error pages is not possible. http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/myfaces-users/200606.mbox/%3Cbc3... However, this does not happen with the blog sample application. Also, the error page gets rendered without exceptions when I access a non-jsf page that does not exist such as asdoe.jsp, doe.other and doe.js. the portal supporting internationalization is one thing. More importantly, the portlets coming with jboss portal should have full internationalization support and pattern for internationalization. So that other users will follow the same pattern to code and share the usable portlets. Otherwise, later, even jboss portal has very good internationalization support, but there are no reusable portlets because none of them implement internationalization properly.
