>From the source code, it appears that the value is ignored if it is set to 0. If that does not work, set it to a very large number. The value is an integer that represents seconds, so setting it to 31536000 equates to about a year. Setting it to 2 billion equates to over 63 years. Hello! It seems i discovered the problem. I was using several ejb jar files and by accident, in the jar which contained the Stateless bean i forgot to put the META-INF/ejb-jar.xml file. Now, everything is OK. [EJB/JBoss] - EAR and datasource and jms

Today when I deploy my application , I need to deploy an EAR and several XML files that declares datasources, JMS topics and queue, ... I'd like to include those XML files in the EAR. Just adding it in EAR does not works. Is it possible to add XMLs for datasource and JMS in the EAR ? Do we have to put it in a special place or add something int the application.xml ? [JBossWS] - Upgrading from JBoss 4.0.0 to 4.0.4, jax-rpc problems

Hi, we're in the process of upgrading to 4.0.4 and the only thing not working is our web services. The problem is that we're using old jax-rpc jar files (from 2003), and when it's deployed jax-rpc StreamHandler is expecting com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.* classes but it's getting org.jboss.ws.soap.* classes. It seems we can't remove JBossWS, so is the only solution to upgrade and use jsr191 with annotations, etc.? We'd like to get JBoss upgraded first and the web services after if possible. If not, can someone point me to a good tutorial/guide for converting our current implementation? I'm a newbie to the project/JBoss, so any help is appreciated. Thanks. OK, this post is a little old :-) Have a look at JNI (Java Native Interfaces), since you want do do some platform-specific stuff. Write a Shared Library (*.so / *.dll) with apropriate Method-Names and use it: public class XY { | | static { | System.loadLibrary( "MyLibrary" ); | } | | public native byte[] getBytes() throws SomeException; | | } But I'm not sure if the specs allow an EJB to load Libraries... if not - write a standalone - app which subscribes to your Queue/Topic.
