Did you see the post by nhatnam at http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3967728#3967728? I'm wondering if in your database the jbp_users table is also empty. I just now ran portal 2.4.0GA with MySQL 5.0.15, and have no problems with logging in. You say you switched to MySQL. When you did that, did you also start with a fresh deployment of the portal? The shutdown of the server cluster node is quite complex, but at the moment I doesn't call any shutdown specific method for the cache. I don't find any example or "how to do" a clean shutdown. So thats the question. What I have to do for a clean shutdown? I can't see anything wrong, based on the information you gave it looks correct to me. Try this in place of, or in front of, your current lookup code: Context initCtx = new InitialContext(); | NamingEnumeration ne = initCtx.listBindings("java:"); | while (ne.hasMore()) { | Binding binding = (Binding)ne.next(); | System.out.println("binding name=" + binding.getName()); | } That will let you know what the code thinks is in the "java:" namepsace. If you only one (looks like, theres no info) you skip the creation if the Collection is not empty.
