[EJB 3.0] - Re: entityManager.find() returns null

Thanks John, Using a NUMBER as the PK is my preference as a rule but I've been asked to do it this way and I can see know reason, looking at the EJB3 spec, it shouldn't work. I find the differing behaviour depending on the transaction usage worrying and want to know if I should work around it (using a NUMBER column as you say) or am I doing something wrong or whether it's a bug? Hello I have a server running jboss AS 4.0.3SP1 and I have two applications /home/jboss/jboss-4.0.3SP1/server/default/deploy/drivebay /home/jboss/jboss-4.0.3SP1/server/default/deploy/tuneup The server has 2 networkinterfaces whit two different ipadresses 192.168.1.50 = drivebay.linus.net 192.168.1.51 = tuneup.linus.net (internal DNS works fine) Now I want that when I point the webreader to drivebay.linus.net it should get me to the drivebay-application. And if I point the webreader to tuneup.linus.net it should get me to the tuneup-application. how should I solve this? please help me! [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Problem deploying Maven2-built files to JBoss 3.2.7

For a project, we are building a SAR, which conatins several JAR files, using Maven2. As part of the default Maven2 build process, each JAR file contains a copy of the pom.xml used to build that JAR, in the META-INF directory. However, the JARDeployer in JBoss 3.2.7 seems to be scanning all JAR files for any XML file in the META-INF directory, and then refusing to load the JAR if the XML file is unrecognized. It is possible to reconfigure Maven2 not to include the pom.xml, but this is time-consuming and difficult since Maven2 will also download libraries from a central repository, and those JAR files also have the pom.xml. Is there any way to configure JBoss to not perform this check? Why does JBoss even do this? It seems confusing and is causing us problems. Thanks. [JBoss Messaging] - Programmaticaly create queue

Hi, We are currently using Fiorano as our JMS server and we would like migrate to JBoss Messaging. But to do so, we also need to be able to create Queue on the fly. One of the feature of our software is to give users the ability to subscribe to some data changes and receive them in a personal queue. So we need to create a queue for each subscription and also be able to create user (I know this is not part of JMS spec and we are ok to use vendor specific api). I've look at the source code but I don't see how to persist, through some api, a Queue definition in the "server/jms/jbossmq-destinations-service.xml" file. Is it possible to do so? Hi Jason, what about passwords, the nonce and timestamp elements which are also part of the Username token profile 1.0 spec? And last: what username is added to the soap header. Where does it come from? [JBoss Seam] - Breadcrumbs within the same conversation / pageflow

Hi All, I noticed that Seam has some rudimentary support for breadcrumbs, as outlined in the following section of the documentation: http://docs.jboss.com/seam/latest/reference/en/html/conversations.html#d0... This is fine for nested-conversations, but does not solve the more common case of displaying the sequence of pages traveled by the user within the SAME conversation (defined using a pageflow, for example). Is there any support built-in to get the list of pages traveled within the conversation? If not, any suggestions on how to achieve this? Probably a servlet filter that keeps track of navigation but handling the back button might be a pain... The JMX Console will tell you where your objects are being stored... Hit http://[servername]:8080/jmx-console (by default), find JNDIView, and print out the tree to see where everything is. Also, in order to ensure your EJBs maintain the same JNDI name no matter the packaging, you can use @LocalBinding and @RemoteBinding to declare the location.
