I would like to extend org.jboss.seam.Component functionality , how can I do such a thing? I tried to put the class in my src folder but then I am getting class cast exception... Hmm ok I thing I oversaw something (sorry)... http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=Log4jRepositorySelector. So if I want to use the a log4j.xml in the WEB-INF/classes dir, then I must implemten a repository selector, is this correct ? Else the /conf/log4.xml will be used, no matter if there is a log4 in the WEB-INF/classes or not? ok. for this you need to have another instance of jboss server running on a different port and deploy your new application in this new server. This may require that you create a new server and change the ports in jboss-service.xml (available in the conf dir). Note: In case you are having a cluster you may need to change the port settings. For the sake of completeness: During serialization all properties of an object get serialized. Therefor they need to implement the interface Serializable. If they don't, then you need to make them "transient". Like this they are omitted during serialization and get re-injected after deserialization. In this case it makes sense, since faces, application or session contexts are "dynamic" and they might have changed in the meantime. So it's important to get the "newest" instance. [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - Minimal server with JMS.

Hello. I would like for JBoss to host my JMS queues. I have configured it with default server from JBoss 4.0.4 distribution. I would like to have Minimal version of my server just with my queues. What files do I need to copy from deployment are apart from JMS folder? Ovidiu, I have followed the steps mentioned. Unfortunately it doesn't work! 1. When you copy just the jboss-messaging.jar (and remoting) and attempt to deploy the mdb, you get an NoClassFoundException about JoinPointInfo class. This class is present in jboss-messaging-client.jar. In order to rectify the NCFE exception, I have to add teh clinet jar too to lib. 2. now, after adding the client jar, when you deploy MDB, you still get an exception(see below). 10:59:26,979 WARN
