[JBoss Portal] - Cannot see HelloWorldJSPPortlet portlet on the default tab

Hi, I have installed JBossPortal . I guess it is running. When i type in http://localhost:8080/portal, i can see the default page. I have read chapter 5 (Portal primer) in user manual. I am trying to run the HelloWorldJSPPortlet, but unable to do so. I have done the following. 1. Downloaded the zip file 2. Build the project using ant 3. exploded it. 4. Did a hot deploy ( I can see on the server command promt that HelloWorldJSPPortlet context path info), by copying the war file to deploy folder under server 5. [EJB 3.0] - ejb3 mdb without resource adaptor (container configuration)

hi, Is it possible to deploy an ejb3 mdb by using the old way of specifying the container configuration? I found that jboss_5_0.xsd does not support configuration-name element. It does support the standard way of specifying resource adaptor. You haven't included enough of the error for me to know for sure what's happened, but I suspect that you've downloaded all of the JBoss IDE items, but not their dependencies (such as webtools, GEF, etc). [JBoss Portal] - Bug or not ? (request attributes lost)

Hello, Following my last post : http://jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=90549 I think I've found a problem with JSF / Portlet and request attribute. I made a simple application (add user / list user / edit user) with one managedBean (userBean) in request scope. The problem is that for 1 request, JSF create two instances of my managedBean (User). This is due to processAction and facesRender methods which takes 2 differents PortletRequest object in arguments. First JSF creates the userBean managed instance in request scope (in processAction method). Then, in facesRender method, when rendering the page JSF creates another instance of my userBean managed ! The problem comes from this code line : facesContext.setExternalContext(makeExternalContext(request, response)); | The request object doesn't have request attributs from processAction method ... I wanted to know if it's normal or not ? And if not, how do you do with JSF to have one instance of a managed bean request scoped in one request ? Thanks by advance. Sorry for my poor english ! Hi, Thanks for your fast reply. I've tried what you say but now the error is the following: Unable to create view: org/jboss/ide/eclipse/as/core/JBossServerCore I downloaded a .zip containing all JBoss IDE 2.0 related "thing"s, and when unzipping, I saw a "plug-ins" and "features" directory, just like in Eclipse. Therefore, I just copied the content of each directory under same directories of eclipse. I understand this installation is correct.... Thanks very much. JBoss IDE 2.0 uses the webtools server structure. To create a server, open the server view (or preferably JBoss Servers View), right-click and select new server, proceed to create a new jboss server, and then start the server in debug mode. [JBoss Eclipse IDE (users)] - Can't create new debug configuration in Eclipse 3.2

Hi, I'm working with Eclipse 3.2 and so that I could debug in the JBoss application server, I downloaded JBoss Eclipse Ide 1.6, latest stable release I think. With this plug-in I'm not able to debug a JBoss Server Application because I cannot create a new debug configuration for JBoss 4.0.x. Therefore went back to JBoss and downloaded plug-in 2.0.0.Beta1. With this new plug-in I'm not still able to debug. Seems impossible to create a new debug configuration. Eclipse forums and bug system say it's related to JBoss plug-in. Has anybody experienced this situation? I would really appreciate any help on this cause I'm newbie to Eclipse, JBoss and so on.
