[Clustering/JBoss] - Cluster Singleton. Problem migrating from 4.0.2 to 4.0.4

Hello I am migrating to jboss 4.0.4 from 4.0.2. I have a few Singletons deployed on my partition. According to the JBoss 4.0.4 release notes: "ScheduleProviders are now cluster unaware, in terms of class dependencies. To make them behave as cluster singletons, simply configure a dependency on jboss.ha:service=HASingletonDeployer,type=Barrier." I have done this change. The hosts on the Partition correctly detect each other. The services are executing only on one machine. The problem arises if I stop the service on the active node. The service isn't starting on the other node. The Singleton only starts if I completely stop the master jboss. This was working correctly on previous versions of Jboss. Can any one help me please? [Persistence, JBoss/CMP, Hibernate, Database] - Creating Search Querys

I currently am using jBoss AS 3.2.3 but will most likely move to the latest when funding is available. The problem that I am facing right now is how to customizable search using CMP. I have 5 fields all but 2 are text fields. The text fields are easy as I can always do a q.note LIKE ''; but for Date fields and my double field they would like to be able to do =,!=,<,<=,>=,>, BETWEEN type searches. Is there an easy way to create the EJB that can do what I want easily or do I have to create a different query for each way they want to query the data? If I have to create a different @jboss.query for each way it may be better to just grab the datasource from jBoss and do JDBC calls and build the queries on the fly. What is the best way to do what I want? Why would all the sessions live on one server? Sticky sessions means the sessions are sticky once assigned, but mod_jk assigns new sessions to different servers. Doing what you want would require some tweaks to distributed sessions. When Tomcat intercepts a request and sends you the login form, it stores info about the original request in a field in the session. Then when you authenticate, it gets the info from the session and uses it to send you to your original destination. Right now that "original request info" object isn't replicated, which is why FORM auth doesn't work without sticky sessions. Replicating it *might* not be that big a deal, although IIRC the class Tomcat stores it in doesn't implement Serializable. You're more than welcome to open a Feature Request JIRA for it; I'm not at all opposed to the idea, although it will probably be many months before we'd get to it. [JBoss jBPM] - How to retrieve last taskinstance

Hi, I have a requirement to get the last taskinstance which trigger current one. Here I have taskinstance ID of current active one. What I am thinking is get all task instance for this process instance and find out the last end one. That looks not nice. Are there any good ideas for this? Thanks! No, I don't, if I configure sticky sessions I would get all my user session live in only one node of the cluster and I would only get more fail-over capabilities but not real load balancing where any request could be answered by any node on the cluster (for instance the one with more free cpu cycles). I'm afraid by your answer that there are no solutions for this problem, as it is hard to solve being a particular case of use, isn't it? [EJB 3.0] - RC 9

Is there an updated date on when RC 9 will be made available? The roadmap has August 31st listed. There still seems to be a pretty good size list of outstanding bugs. I am anxiously awaiting a few fixed that are already marked as done and was just waiting on when those may be delivered. Thanks.
