[Beginners Corner] - Re: How to find out the exact version of a jar file bundled

The jar-versions.xml file in jboss_home (if you downloaded and unzipped the zip file, not sure if it is there if your used the installer) appears to list all of the jar files and provides and implVersion property that looks to be the actual version for the file. I already use a separate thread to handle the viewChange event. The event processing time takes less than 1 millisecond so that isn't the problem. The documentation states that in membership {A,B,C}, A connects to B, B connects to C, and C connects back to A. If A goes away, C will know it rather quickly but what about B? It connects to C which is still there. How does B learn about A's disappearance? By the way, I am using the TCP KEEP_ALIVE with FD_SOCK and FD timeout. Your TX on your BEA tier (let's call it that for now) will not propagate to your TCPCacheServer tier. Since access to the TCPCacheServer is wrapped up as a CacheLoader, however,it will be party to the TX such that commits and rollbacks will be adhered to. I can't concievably think of any potential problems with not running transactions on the TCPCacheServer tier. Why would you bother running BuddyReplication on the TCPCacheServer tier if you only have 2 nodes here? :-) Future scalability? Hi, again First of all, Ryszard, thanks for answering my questions. I have made some investigations lately and I want to sare the results of my research. [A001] If to use the search engines like Lucene the search is performed as described in http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-lucene/LuceneFAQ#head-109358021acbfc89456e... If you want some more details on this you can check the http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/lucene-java-user. Use mails starting from the most recent (for now its Sep 2006) and go back, month by month searching for "database" in the message topics. Or google {+"index a database" +lucene} If you dont have time to implement offered functionality you may use two of the following (when writting this I couldn't find more) http://www.dbsight.net/ or http://www.opensymphony.com/compass/ (Chapters 16-21 of the reference manual). The latter one is an opensource. [A002] I guess it's a case of study of a specific framework. Hope this helps someone someday :) If there are any thought about the above, or you know some other frameworks, or under JBoss Portal it's differen - I will gladly accept the remarks. Thanks. You need to have your multicast routes set up. What OS is this on, when you are disconnected, are your multicast routes removed from your routing table? [EJB/JBoss] - ClassCastException while calling another EJB in the same JAR

I have an EAR which has a WAr and an EJB JAR. EJB jar has 2 ejbs in it one is the business delegate and another is session facade actually. A web page looks up the business delegate and invokes a method. Delegate method in turn tries to look up another EJB ( session facade ) and cast it to the Remote interface. It gets a class cast exception while casting. I have the ejbClient jar at the EAR level and its nowhere being used twice. I even tried to print the implemented interfaces out of the object which ejbHome creates and I see the remote interface being implemented by the object, even though I get classcast.
