Hello, I started with Adf faces, and get the same exception... Before the exception, there is : 18:59:38,421 ERROR [STDERR] 21 janv. 2007 18:59:38 oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.agent.AgentImpl <init> | ATTENTION: The agent type is unknown; creating an agent with null agent attributes. I searched a lot, but found nothing about this "agent type".... (and is there some available sources of Adf ? I think I'll look at the Trinidad adaptation to find what it want...). but before this : did you solve it ? and how ? many thanks. If I'm not mistaken, you should be able to use facelets templating (ui:composition/ui:insert/ui:define) with PDF views. [EJB 3.0] - Make JBoss creating a database trigger on table creation

Hi all, I need to set up database triggers which "log" create, update, delete actions on other tables. The trigger function will be a very generic one. It would be nice, if i can configure JBoss/Hibernate to set up the trigger, when a table has been created. Is there a way to do this? [EJB 3.0] - EntityManagerFactory not injected?

Hi, I'm new to EJB 3.0 and just learning about the new persistence features. I'm using Eclipse 3.2 with JBoss 4.05 as the application server. I'm currently trying to write a very simple servlet listener class, which should fetch one row from a database using the EntityManagerFactory and EntityManager classes. This is very similar to the material represented in the latest Java EE tutorial (it's using the same database as the web bookstore example). Here's the code for that class: | public class ContextListener implements ServletContextListener { | @javax.persistence.PersistenceUnit(unitName="pu") private EntityManagerFactory emf; | | public void contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent arg0) { } | | public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent arg0) { | EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager(); | WebBookstoreBooks b = (WebBookstoreBooks)em.find(WebBookstoreBooks.class, "201"); | System.out.println(b.getTitle()); | } | } | And here's my persistence.xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> | <persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" ...> | <persistence-unit name="pu"> | <jta-data-source>java:/sqlserver</jta-data-source> | <class>data.WebBookstoreBooks</class> | </persistence-unit> | </persistence> After deployment I get NullPointerException from this line: EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager(); If I understand correctly, this means, that the EntityManagerFactory has not been injected and is null. Anyhow, if I write the same code and add the bolded line there, everything works: | public class ContextListener implements ServletContextListener { | @javax.persistence.PersistenceUnit(unitName="pu") private EntityManagerFactory emf; | | public void contextDestroyed(ServletContextEvent arg0) { } | | public void contextInitialized(ServletContextEvent arg0) { | | emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("pu"); | | EntityManager em = emf.createEntityManager(); | WebBookstoreBooks b = (WebBookstoreBooks)em.find(WebBookstoreBooks.class, "201"); | System.out.println(b.getTitle()); | } | } | This is very confusing. Why do I have to "manually" create the EntityManagerFactory by calling Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory? Shouldn't the container (JBoss) do that automatically. I've googled and found dozens of examples, where the EntityManagerFactory is just added with the @persistenceUnit annotation and everything works fine after that without the need for any extra lines of code. Could someone explain what is going on here and if I'm doing/understood something wrong? [JBoss Seam] - access faces-config.xml in a java bean

Hello, i need to access the navigation-cases defined in faces-config.xml in my application (a java bean has to do that). I need that becourse i am writing an own wizard (for my case a4j:include is not the right way). Is there any predefined component what does this (like messages) ? or any easy way to access them? An workaround would be to parse faces-config.xml myself, but i think there could be a better way. [JBoss Eclipse IDE (users)] - By Applet closing, Jboss geht down?

Hi all, I have a serious problem, and I find no solution. I use PDFBox in my Webapplication and I have created with this Tool PDF Files, all is fine, by clicking a Button, I can open my PDF Files with help of PDFBox Methode. An applet will be oppening and I can read my pdf file, the Problem is, wenn I close my File (applet window), my Jboss Server geht itself down and I don't Know, what I musst do to prevent that. Have someone an Idea, I will appreciate.
