The installer is not supposed to copy jboss-remoting.jar in lib, since in JBoss 4.0.5, Messaging is scoped. You probably refer to http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBMESSAGING-682 which was closed as "Won't Fix". Besides, before release, we run smoke tests that independenty perform the installation procedure and verify if the result is functional. Replacing lib/jboss-remoting.jar manually will break things even worse. Most likely, you're not using the right jboss-messaging-client.jar in your client path. Hi, I have still not figured the problem. [JBoss Portal] - Configure CMS HTML editor for extended elements?

Hi All - We're running JBoss Portal 2.4.1 SP1, bundled with JBoss AS 4.0.4GA. I have an html file that has a bgcolor attribute within a tag. I can upload it into the CMS and display the original version without problem. But if I go into CMS and use the editor to modify the file (e.g., add a link), the editor strips out my td bgcolor code. The TinyMCE website says that I can correct this by "adding td[bgcolor] to the extended elements in the init stuff". Does anyone know where this is in Portal 2.4.1? Or are they referring to a later version of TinyMCE? I'll keep looking . . . but help would be appreciated. [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Configuration file outside the .ear file

Hi, We are deploying our application as a .ear file. But we want to have the .properties file kept outside the .ear file so that we can make changes to the properties file without recreating and deploying the .ear file. In some fourms it is mentioned to use MBean /SAR etc.. i am not clear on these things. can anyboyd pls share a sample code of how to do this.. That is odd indeed, I cannot see any difference between your test and mine apart from that in my test org.jboss.test.aop.field.FieldTestCase all the classes actually have some advised fields in addition to the inherited ones. What are you caching? My portlet was caching some statistics from the database. These stats only change late at night, so there was no reason for me to perform the same query all day long. The idea behind my timer was to tell my portlet to access the DB again and save the new data. if you are talking about jboss caching your portlet or HTML fragment, my solution is probably not what you want. In my experience you can change the HTML or JSP fragments while the server is running and it will pick up the changes. However, the server will not pick up changes to the class files or properties files of your portlet. That requires a restart (or maybe just touching application.xml).
