Thanks Ronald. I couldn't really 'validate' the web.xml that was there, but just glancing at it, it 'looked' right. We programmatically start our use of jbpm's Scheduler service, which is always an option as well. [Security & JAAS/JBoss] - DB password at rest in login-config.xml: how to avoid this?

Our use of JBoss 4.03 has the DB password in login-config.xml openly visible. The database pool connection we implement requires this password in login-config and its runtime copy in tmp/deploy. Is there a way to set up the DB pool connection without having the DB password in login-config? Obviously we can encrypt the DB password, but is there a way to avoid putting the DB password in the clear in login-config.xml the first place? But if i use an h:outputLink or just type the url string myself then the @RequestParameter does get set. Is this expected behavior? The advantage of s:link is that I could continue a conversation (add "join=true" to the foo() method) AND pass in params via a @RequestParam. Is this not meant to work with s:link or am I do something wrong? Thats, because the jaxrpc API is part of the JDK. Make sure javax.xml.soap.SOAPMessage is pulled from jboss-jaxrpc.jar You can use system properties. The endorsed mechanism should work as well. Dear count. If you did search (and I'm not saying you didn't) and found that you do have a good jbpm.cfg.xml file then please mention that. It prevents others speding time on the topic. Your last statement also has something like this in it. You state that you have it in your jbpm.cfg.xml file, but are you sure (e.g. by debugging) that that is the one being used? These are basic troubleshooting aspects. Regarding you not being able to define good keywords in english is to me a non-issue. technical keywords are the most important and i'm sure you know those. Now regarding your web.xml. Did you compare it e.g. with the one in the jbpm webapp? Did you notice any differences? If you compare them, I'm sure you'll find one. Ohh IC..I missed the boat.. However, in my remoting-service.xml, I have serializationtype attribute set to jboss instead of jms as mentioned in the posted example file. Does this attribute really matters?
