[JBoss jBPM] - How to cancel process

Currently in JBPM the options to cancel a process are 1. By calling deleteProcessInstance() API which takes in a process instance id. But this deletes all the information regarding the process from the database. 2. The other option would be to have transition names for cancel in the entire process definition. But then it wouldn?t work for the existing processes in the system(as the process definition needs to be deployed again) Is there any other solution for the same? [JBoss Portal] - Can't setValue to PortletPreferences in JBOSS_2.4.0

I'm using Jboss version 2.4.0 to host portlets but I can't setValue to PortletPrefernces. Once more thing, the methods below runs well in JetSpeed_2.0 and WebSphere, but it throws exception in Jboss_2.4.0. It works from a sessionbean but not from the client so it appears remotely I need to address it slightly differently. Any pointers anyone? 1 - I'm not sure. My guess is that each of those operations is happening in a new transaction. It wouldn't happen with the transactional phase listener because there would be one transaction covering all of the operations. 2. The changes are applied to the entity in the update model values phase, which is before the invoke application phase. 3. It doesn't. Use the TransactionalSeamPhaseListener for Seam to manage the transaction. Hey Gommo, how's it going? I'm able to do a JNDI lookup for the datasource using the value of the <jta-data-source> tag. So, I belive this would work for you: | InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(); | Object ds = ctx.lookup("java:/PostgresDS"); | I'm not clear on why in the datasource config there's no leading "java:/", maybe somebody more knowledgeable about JNDI can explain that.
