If you are still stuck, see if you can reproduce the problem in a new seam-gen project. I went the route i dreaded by writing a converter the jsf way. It works alright cos i put a breakpoint in the converter to see if it was being called. However as before my action on the h:commandButton is not being called as my page just flickers and comes back to me without an exception. As i described before it's only called when i change to an s:button, but my outjected object comes back with all the fields including the one from the selecOneMenu registering as null. May i ask how different an h:commandButton is from an s:button apart from being able to pass method parameters in the latter? That notwistanding, i want to try your suggestion. Excuse my ignorance but do i have to include the source code in my project to be able to debug it? Thanxx very much for your patience. Gavin, My problem was with JSF1.2 and form enctype="multipart/form-data" wich seems to transmit incorrectly input datas if there isn't a file input component. No problem with Myfaces. afaik, the 3.2 console does need some jsf 1.2 things, so myfaces (which is jsf 1.1 compliant) will probably not work for all things. But maybe David could elaborate on this. [JBossCache] - Images created at runtime, requested resource not available.

Hi all, I don't know if this is the right board.. My application creates images at runtime, but images are not shown in the jsp-page. When I try to access directly to them server says that requested resource is not available. Pictures are in folder ../pictures/ Creation time of the image is about 1 minute, so I can't just create one image at the pictures-folder and override it. I must restart JBOSS to view these images by browser. How can I make created images available as soon as one is created. [Clustering/JBoss] - Howto - use Apache3 Tomcat 5.5 and JbossCache w/o AS?

Hi, I've been scanning the site and the forums, and what I'm trying to find out is -- we have a web app on Tomcat 5.5 (downloaded from apache). We'd like to cluster the app w/fine-grained changes. Do I have to use JBoss AS and the JBoss Tomcat or can I cluster mutliple stand-alone instances of Tomcat with JBossCache, and if so, where are clear-cut instructions on how to do that? Thanks! If you use seam-gen with JBoss, you get an eclipse project that auto-deploys to an exploded directory structure. We did not yet make this work for Tomcat, and I'm not sure how well Tomcat can handle stuff like this (I find Tomcat hot-deploy extremely flakey).
