[JBoss Seam] - Need Hibernate Filter Example

Hello All, I have a scenario where I want users to only be able to view/edit data that they have access to based on what group they happen to be in. My thought was to use Hibernate Filter for this, and the reference guide gives a brief note on Hibernate filters in section 8.6. Using Hibernate filters -- but not a complete enough listing for someone who's never tried this implementation before. Can anyone point me to a more robust example of how to integrate this into Seam 2.0? Thanks in advance! Hi PeterJ, Given I have no system specialist on my side, how do I know which port the JMX console is listening to ? Our application is listening to the 8080 port. Is there a parameter file containing this port number in JBOSS ? [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - Separate log for deployed webapp in JBOSS 4.2.1.GA

I want separate my application log in separate log file under jboss/server/default/log but i'm not able to do it. I have configured my categories and appender(in jboss-log4j.xml) to log in a separate log file from server.log, but it doesn't work. In my web app i get Logger with org.apache.commons.logging.LogFactory When i launch jboss, there are no application logs written in my separate log file. I have seen e tried instructtion on http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SeparatingApplicationLogs but in doesn't work...This is very frustrastring issue, Please someone can help me? Hi, I was also facing similar issue...one thing I noticed was in the build.properties file I was putting following entry: jboss.home=C:\JBoss\jboss-4.2.2.GA When I was doing above a folder was getting created in my c:\JBoss\jboss-seam-2.0.0.CR2\examples\booking directory as: JBossjboss-4.2.2.GA\server\default\deploy so what I deed was I copied the following files: booking-ds.xml jboss-seam-booking.ear >From c:\JBoss\jboss-seam-2.0.0.CR2\examples\booking\JBossjboss-4.2.2.GA\server\default\deploy To c:\JBoss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\server\default\deploy The JBoss took some time to recognize a new application is deployed and after some time (less than a minute) I tried to launch the application and it worked for me..... If you dont want to all the above step, After exploring more I came to know there is a quicker/easier way check your build.properties file and see the following entry,(escaped '\' character) jboss.home=D:\\JBoss\\jboss-4.2.2.GA When I used the above configuration and call ant build command I deploys the example application directly to the JBoss Application Server path: c:\JBoss\jboss-4.2.2.GA\server\default\deploy Try this I hope this might help to resolve your issue. @NotNull is a validator annotation. And as a long can't be null (it will be 0), the validation passes. Removing @NotNull should fix it. Perhaps ask on the hibernate forums as well - I'm not sure of exactly how this should work. I don't really understand the issue, however Seam Security currently has no explicit support for single sign on. We intend to provide integration with JBoss SSO, however this is on hold for now.
