[JCA/JBoss] - Handling JBoss transaction Timeout ?

Hi I'd like to change the default transactions timeout that is set by JBOSS (300s) in my application. I know that i can modify the jboss-service.xml file in order to change this value but i'd just like to modify the value for a specific application (not for all). I'm not using a developpement framework such as Spring or hibernate, so i'd like the solution to be as generic as possible. Any idea ? Thanks for your help, Best Regard. Addition for anybody who might find this post later on - including myself ;-) My own servlet filter never caught any exceptions. Turned out that Seam's built-in filter already logs and swallows all exceptions. Seam support is currently only available as part of the EAP - currently EAP 4.2 which contains Seam 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 in the next patch release. Contact Sales about when Seam 2 will be in the EAP and so eligible for support. It won't be when we release Seam 2.0.0.GA. I read the source of the interpretation of the <jar-file> tag and I found a tip which works with JBoss 4.2.1 : to put a relative path, put "../" only in the beginning of the path and next put "..\" as many as you need, so for me, it is : <jar-file>../..\entities.jar</jar-file> But I think that it will not work anymore with JBoss 5.0 but no problem with that, when it will be available, we will change the persistence.xml only for JBoss 5.0 and normally <jar-file>../../entities.jar</jar-file> will work with JBoss 5.0. [JBoss jBPM] - General Exception Handling in JBPM

In my current work I have a process flow consisting of 20+ nodes. In each node an error from a service call must be redirected to a specific task node. This is the test process: <process-definition xmlns="" name="TestGeneralExceptionHandling"> | <exception-handler> |  | <action name="action1" | class="....HandleBackendExceptionActionHandler"> | </action> | </exception-handler> | <start-state name="start"> | <transition name="" to="DoSomethingWrong"></transition> | </start-state> | <node name="DoSomethingWrong"> | <event type="node-enter"> | <action name="action1" class="...DoSomethingWrongActionHandler"> | </action> | </event> | <transition name="" to="succes"></transition> | </node> | <task-node name="BackendError"></task-node> | <end-state name="succes"></end-state> | </process-definition> In my code the exception handler performs the following lines of code: public void execute(ExecutionContext executionContext) throws Exception { | Node targetNode = executionContext.getProcessDefinition().getNode("BackendError"); | Token token = executionContext.getProcessInstance().getRootToken(); | executionContext.setVariable("BackendErrorOriginatingNode", token.getNode().getName()); | Transition errorTransition = new Transition("errorTransition"); | errorTransition.setTo(targetNode); | token.signal(errorTransition); | } | As you can see I construct the transition in the code which will be defined at runtime. This enables me to keep the process flow free of extra transitions from each node to be drawn. I wonder if this is a robust way to handle exceptions. We then use a client application to view the backend error task node and perform corrective actions on backend systems. Then we will place the token back in the original node where the error occured and retry that node (all programatically). Any comments?
