That's odd. I'm fairly certain it ought to work for (non-@Named) superclasses. I know it does for JavaBean components, anyway (I don't yet need to live in EJB land), and I can see that Component.initMembers() (which looks for injectable attributes) doesn't seem to care whether it's a JavaBean or an EJB. I guess you'll have to do some debugging to figure out why it's not working. [JBoss Seam] - including CSS and other html elements - context problem

Suppose i have my app at www.foo.com/foo/ wich gives us /foo/ abs. context. now CSS file is in /foo/css/mycss.css (its /css/mycss.css in WAR file) now i have my layout template at : /layout/a.xhtml (WAR path again) and my views in : /something1/boo.xhtml /something1/something2/boo.xhtml now when i switch views app context changes so i cant bind relative path to css (ie for 1st view its : ../css/mycss.css and ../../css/mycss.css for second) i could reference the absolute server path that is : /foo/css/mycss.css its better but still is dependent on app context. so is there a way to reference app context in my facelet view ? [JBossCache] - rollback behaviour when using optimistic locking

I am using Tree Cache as follows: 1. get an object from the cache 2. change the object, (call a set method) 3. setRollbackOnly Assumptions: 1. all steps are running in the same TX no serialization 2. all steps are running at the same ejb method in the server. My expectations after reading the optimistic docs, is Tree Cache would create a copy of the nodes and will retrun me a copy of my object and not the actual object reference and thus will rollback my changes. BUT, I see the object isn't rollback and my changes are stored, any insights ? [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - More info on problem with installing app (Jira) on JBoss 4.2

Hi -- I had an original post a few posts down about needing help installing an application (Jira) in JBoss 4.2.0GA. Please excuse this new post, if I should have somehow tacked this on to the original one; I didn't know how to do this and still signal there was new information. Here is the snippet from the server.log file generated when JBoss started up. I noticed after I was poking around that JBoss had indeed created this rich directory structure underneath the server/default/tmp folder, which led me to find this section of the log and look at it more closely. I'm not experienced enough to understand what's going on here and see what might be a problem, and I'm hoping it's the kind of thing where somebody with more experience can look and see an obvious problem. As I mentioned in the previos post, it would appear form the jmx-console information that a decent part of the install happened successfully, so I feel I am tantalizingly close and would appreciate a bit of help from one of you old hands out there.
