Pete, for us, this is a critical/blocking bug and the status should be set to "blocker" in JIRA. The code is running well on seam 1.2.1, and this problem forces us to wait until seam 2.0.1 is out before migrating to seam 2.0... I'm sure they are lots of projects ou there that are using plain POJOs for persistence that will have the same problem. [JBoss Portal] - Does CMS default to store data in database?

Hi http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=PortalCMSConfigFiles claims that the cms, per default, stores all data on the file system. Is this still true? If I look at portal-cms.sar/META-INF/jboss-service.xml I get the impression that everything is stored in the database, not on the filesystem. If so, what is stored in server/default/data/portal/? Just the search index? Okay, I've searched the forums and I am watching the Jira issue. I was wondering, is there a way to update a file in the database using the API's? So, if I have "myForm.jsp" which was deployed with a process definition, and I want to fix a spelling mistake on that form, and not create an entire new deployed version, is there a way to directly update JUST that file? So all current instances will see that updated "myForm.jsp" page, thereby fixing the spelling mistake on all current processes. I was thinking that if this is possible, I can simply pass a parameter from my eclipse GPD when deploying the updated process, eg. "/jbpm-console/upload?updateFiles=Yes". I can then create my own servlet, based on the ProcessUploadServlet, and check for this parameter. If it exists, I can then use the API's to only update the files in the database for that process definition, instead of deploying the process definition. Anyone tried something like this or know if it can be done? WLS 10 is JEE5 compatible however we have yet to get the jee5 example running on (lack of time). For 9.2 we have the JPA example, but not an EJB3 example.
