This was a pure install on Fedora Core 6 with the latest JBoss. Once I reinstalled the JavaSE JDK everything seemed to work. It must have been some sort of class path configuration error on my FC6 setup. When i was writing this post - there was no overridings for equals and hashCode methods. Now they are and for me - it works. Thanks. But unfortunately there is new problem. My co-worker must login in with j_security_check servlet. There credential is password only. So - I created cache specific for my login module. Now it works exactly as I expected. I'm using JBoss 3.2.3 and Sybase ASE 12.5.4. (can't change those versions) I'm not hable to have my generated field (not a key) read after insert/update using <auto-increment/> in jbosscmp-jdbc.xml. The database schema contains a "version like" column for each table. This column is auto generated by the database (in Sybase it is known as a timestamp even if it a varbinary data) this field is a Java byte[] (returned by the driver) mapped in a Object bean property. The value is changed every time the line is modified (done by the database). My trouble was this value wasn't read after the insert (or update). Thanks for such quick response Ron. Pardon my ignorance but if accessing JMS over HTTPS requires the server to open up another port aren't we defeating the purpose of calling it JMS over HTTPS or anythingelse over HTTPS? The IT czars of any respectable organization would frown upon such request. Also if this is the case, how is it different from an applet or an rich client application requesting to communicate with the server using some arbitrary port? Wouldn't this pose a security risk? I've tried your SSL servlet invoker option with very less success. Anywho, since I am in a tight schedule bind, I think I am going to resort back to JBoss 4.2.2 with MQ. [JBoss jBPM] - How to do an action link without validating jbpm variables

Hello, I'm trying to put an action on a link but when the link is activated, the variables of the form are validated. I tried to do this : | <h:commandLink action="#{myBean.myAction}"> | but this validates the variables of the form (saying the variables are required) So I tried this : | <h:outputlink> | <a4j:support event="onclick" action="#{myBean.myAction}"> | </h:outputlink> | Then I got another error message saying : Error loading task instance: No task instance was found with an ID of 0 Error getting variable map: The value was given as null Error reading form information: The process value is null So I looked at the task.xhtml and found there were some conditions to load task, apply variable map and complete task . | <j4j:loadTask id="#{id}" target="#{xtask}" navigate="false" unless="#{button == 'cancel'}"/> | <j4j:applyVariableMap target="#{xtask}" variableMap="#{taskVariableMap}" navigate="false" unless="#{button == 'cancel'}"/> | <j4j:completeTask task="#{xtask}" transition="#{transition}" unless="#{button != 'transition'}" navigate="false"/> | So what test should I do to recognize the action link (that is not a jbpm taskform button) ?
