[JNDI/Naming/Network] - Problem with resource-mapping

Hi, this is in my SessionBean: | | (...) | @Resource(name="myDB", mappedName="java:/MyDefaultDS") | DataSource dataSource; | (...) | I deploy this in an ear-File, that looks like this: | - myBean.ear | myJar.jar | - META-INF | application.xml In my server/default/deploy-Folder is an oracle-ds.xml-File with following Content: (..) | <local-tx-datasource> | <jndi-name>MyDefaultDS</jndi-name> | (...) | <local-tx-datasource> | <jndi-name>TheOtherDS</jndi-name> | (...) Now, I have an application that shall uses the 'TheOtherDS'. I can use a DeploymentDescriptor for each Bean but I would like to say it in one File for all: "Please use for the resource "myDB" the global Name "java:/TheOtherDS". Is this possible? [JBoss Seam] - Seam2 bug with Quartz?

Seam 2.0.0.GA, JBoss 4.2.1 Hi, I'm fairly sure this is a Seam bug. [JBoss jBPM] - memory leak in delegation???

We are using JBpm 3.1.1 on a big insurance application. We are having memory problems. After using a profiler we have seen that for some reason all our actionHandlers(delegations) do not clean from memory. Since these actions are basically stateless it strikes me as odd. When a process is running it creates actionHandlers, these handlers don't clean up after the process has ended, they just stay in memory for ever. Maybe there could be some APIs added for setting the scoping of caching of resolution of expressions? I can think of some cases where #{bean.dataModel} should be evaluated once per render, or where it should be evaluated over and over. So why not have some hint? With Facelets there's the c:set tag, which does not cache the evaluation. Maybe one could be added that will. And then, for dataTables, and other UISeries, there could be some means of them setting a hint on their row var, so that that part of the expression is only evaluated once, while in the context of each individual row. The issue is that resource bundles (as file) cannot be changed at runtime, so when you add a page you cannot change it. I know both solutions has advantages and drawbacks, we have people only using the dynamicity and users using static content. I was also thinking of resource bundles as default values that could be overridden with whatever is in database. Would that fit your use case ? portlet.xml is different... It's a deployment feature, not a way to populate data (opposite from -object.xml) so please there is no need for exclamation marks. Hi...thanks for answer...let me explain it better: I have a web service client, by this I mean a jar file that allows me to do some functionality I need to use. (This web service client is from an open source document management application [Alfresco], so i can upload a document, create spaces for the documents etc, into Alfresco repository ) I need to use this functionality from my seam application. What I did was to add this jar file to the seam project class path. So, I made a xhtml page with an ICEFaces button, the action of this button is to upload an specific file to the Alfresco repository but using the classes and methods of the web service client. [JBoss Seam] - Re: selectItems - Is it possible?

I have a selectOneMenu where selectItems come from a WebService which returns a collection of a simple POJO class.It has an identifier,and some fields,but since it is not managed by any EntityManager or HibernateSession I can not use s:convertEntity. I think this is the case you didn't come accross pete and dan :/ I have to convert that collection to a List and define an Integer in the backing bean which stores the selected index or write a converter for that class. (But I have more than one selectOneMenu with this case and all uses different POJOs). Either way,selectitem or converter,does not seem right to me,because within my tidy code,thanks to seam, they look ugly. On http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1801, pete says:"I've implemented something similar: override and extend the org.jboss.seam.ui.entityIdentiferStore component implementing the get and put methods. You can then use e.g. a HashMap, and using the identifier and entity arguements to put, store it under whatever key you like".
