I would go with 4.2.2 because is has some EJB and other fixes. It will probably be easier to go from 4.2.0 to 4.2.2 than from 1.2.1 to 2.0 anyway. Hmm. I think that you should consider using fewer lines of communication. There's an awful lot of tools involved. seam-gen, jboss-tools, eclipse, jira, this forum, hibernate tools forum, ... :-) How can I get the "Seam Generate Entities" function working in eclipse without regnerating the entities? the jboss-seam-ioc.jar is included with the seam distribution and it should be placed in the classpath of your project. To make sure it works when running tests you need to be sure it is included in the runtime classpath of your test running tool.
