The mail components in seam core provide a Seam managed mail session and basic integration for Meldware. The mail components in seam mail provide the JSF taglib for generating mail from facelets templates. As far as I can tell, JBM can run on 4.0.x series without any major issues. I am running JBM 1.2.GA on 4.0.5.GA in Production! Although this is not advisable, due to many restrictions in the project, we have no option except running JBM on 4.0.5.GA. All seems well (except few minor quirks) so far. Related to your *how* question, follow the manual and deploy the JBM. I found my problem. You just have to know that <f:convertDateTime> works by default with UTC time and not with the date variable timezone, which is not the case with java.util.SimpleDateFormat. [EJB 3.0] - Namespace error while deploying EJB3 ear

HI we are in the process of Migrating to EJB3 from 1.1 in 1.1 descriptor we have following value in ejb-jar.xml <!DOCTYPE ejb-jar PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Enterprise JavaBeans 1.1//EN" "http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/ejb-jar_1_1.dtd"> now in EJB3 we have changed it to <ejb-jar xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" id="ejb-jar"> but JBOSS421 fails to deploy this schema. [JBoss Seam] - JBoss Seam dependencies

I'm trying to find information on which APIs and their versions that are required for each Seam-release. We are currently using JBoss Seam 1.2.1 (an upgrade to version 2.0.0 is not possible at this time). Can someone please tell me which versions and implementations of JSF are required and supported? The RichFaces and Ajax4JSF-components that comes with the release is not complete (i.e., there are some JSF tags missing) and the facelets-implementation contains a bug in the ui:repeat tag. These issues are not described in any of the official documentations available. We would like to upgrade to the latest RichFaces (3.1.2), but that seems to require JSF 1.2, which doesn't seem to work with JBoss Seam 1.2.1. My guess is that there are other dependencies to different libraries that we might run into (Hibernate version, jBPM version etc.). A list of the specific libraries required for each Seam-version would be greatly appreciated! Ah. I posted my message before you posted the exception. Anyway: please make sue you are using the entityManager (and is named entityManager). This seems correct according to your posted XML. Your entity has to have a @Id. Make sure of that. NPE seems to be at EntityIdentifier key = new EntityIdentifier(entity, getEntityManager()); Eventually make a brackpoint here and see what is null. [JBoss Seam] - JBoss tools - Seam generate entities from existing entities

I've evaluated and tested the JBoss tools generate entities from existing entities and it turns out that the entities are overwritten by hbm2java instead of being used as they are. This undermines the usage of this tool to get a running seam application from a set of EJB3 entities: * It removes all inheritance information in the entities * It removes all documentation etc. in the entities So: * Why are the entities overwritten instead of being used as they are? * Can this be configured so that the entities are used as they are? In an iterative (real life) situation extra properties would be added to existing entities over time. If the Seam generate entities are run several times some information would be thrown away due to this procedure.
