I can cast the following to a set of Objects Set<Object> mySet = (Set<Object>)methodInvocation.getCalledMethod().invoke(methodInvocation.getTargetObject(), methodInvocation.getArguments()); | and then loop through it with Iterator iter = mySet.iterator(); In the particular cases where I know my object type I can call parent.getChildren().getChildName() and indeed catch the thrown Lazy Init Exception However in the general case where I have no knowledge of my object's getters/setters methods name, it is getting a bit more complicated. Will have to think of method refelction solution. It still doesn't work ... The link is the same, the navigation configuration is the same, the only difference is that I use different components. So it must come from my "navigation" component. I added @BypassInterceptors annotation to my component (this is what is done with "identity" component, but it changes nothing. Which annotations did you put on your component class and on its methods ? Node 2 works in a PC with XP Windows. For simulate crash, I have killed Jboss by task manager. Node 1 works in a PC with Linux. If necessary, I can repeat the test with stop Node 1. There are still likely to be 3rd party tools wanting to use JMX to manage the server, so I need some way to wire the service up as an mbean. This seemed like the easiest route. If you can suggest another approach I'll happily change. Assuming of course I don't have to cascade the change to everything that depends on the tx manager and expects it to be an mbean. I think you can do that and you can still use farming. In the cluster-config.xml, you will need to change the partition name of Node1 and Node3 to same value. Make sure you don't specify partition name for Node3 (ie. let it use default partition). If you don't want to play with the config files, start JBoss with the partition (see the exact value in manual) name using -D option. You'll also probably need to create a multicast address and use that address when you are trying to start the jboss server. Check out the arguements that you can use when you start Jboss. Now Node1 and node3 are the part of partition, so farming will deploy/undeploy ears in that partition only. I have 4.2.1.GA. I have deployed alfresco.war file. Now I am trying to get the WebApplicationContext of alfresco from another web application AlfrescoWebClient using following code: | ServletContext alfrescoWebContext = application.getContext("/alfresco"); | System.out.println("alfrescoWebContext=================="+alfrescoWebContext); | WebApplicationContext alfrescoSpringContext = WebApplicationContextUtils.getRequiredWebApplicationCo | ntext(alfrescoWebContext); | out.println(alfrescoSpringContext); | But I am getting this exception: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Root context attribute is not of type WebApplicationContext: org.springframework.web.context.support.XmlWebApplicationContext: display name [Root WebApplicationContext]; startup date [Fri Nov 30 12:07:25 GMT+05:30 2007]; root of context hierarchy; config locations [classpath:alfresco/application-context.xml,classpath:alfresco/web-client-application-context.xml,classpath:alfresco/web-scripts-application-context.xml,classpath:web-services-application-context.xml] I googled (http://forum.springframework.org/archive/index.php/t-11230.html) and found out that this is due to Classloading problems. I have included same spring jar file in both alfresco.war and AlfrescoWebClient.war. These are the only 2 applications in my jboss that use spring.
