[JBoss Seam] - ReRender does not update the Form drop down values

I have the following reRender tag on the button <a4j:commandButton action="#{speedDial.InsertNewRecord}" value="Save" reRender="dataEntry" /> In the stateful bean it actually modifies the value of the list but this form element inside <a4j:outputPanel id="dataEntry" > does not update the values to the new one. Here is the drop down code. <h:selectOneMenu id="selectedSDCode" value="#{speedDial.selectedSDCode}" > | <s:selectItems var="sd" value="#{speedDial.speedDialCodes}" /> | </h:selectOneMenu> Although if i refresh the page, the drop down gets updated with correct values. The list is called speedDialCodes. I would rather prefer to use Ajax and not have the page refresh. Is there any solution to my issue please? Thanks. [Beginners Corner] - can seam generate entity mappings in hibernate.cfg.xml?

when using, seam all my entities are annotated in the eclipse ide, to use the hibernate plugin, I need to map all entities in the hibernate.cfg.xml file: <mapping class="com.mydomain.web.entity.WebUser"/> | <mapping class="com.mydomain.web.entity.Category"/> i find it quite awkward to enter all classes in this file manually. so, does anyone know a way to relieve me of this burden? e.g. to let seam create those mappings automatically? Did you run the examples after installing JBoss Messaging? (see user guide). One of the examples tests a clustered queue. So if this works, you know that functionality works. [JBoss Seam] - How can I "catch" query parameters and pass it to the form?

Hi, I have a query and when I run it.s. Base on these values, the query will return all records meeting the conditions. Now, I want to "catch" these values and use them as criteria to manipulate data from the query and show corresponding records on the form. I must not use annotation RequestParameter. No idea on it? (to get a sublist on a list already in cache) It seems that it's due to the way to go of hibernate, that doesn't allow it, am i wrong? We did it on .Net wihtout any problem!... so i imagined that it was possible too on Jboss.
