Ed, 1) No idea. How were they connecting DWR to Seam? via Seam Remoting? If so, this issue is probably relevant http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-280 2) Good, primarily via those JSF Ajaxy component sets like RichFaces/Ajax4jsf, IceFaces and Trinidad. Also via Seam Remoting for direct access to Seam components via JS.
