[Microcontainer] - ServiceMBeanSupport in the Microcontainer world

I'd like to port my application that uses the JMX Microkernel's ServiceMBeanSupport class to the Microcontainer so it might run under a different application server. Basically what I want to do is intercept the various start/stop MBean operation calls and have these translate into calls to the Microcontainer service controller. I think it would be useful to have a similar class available (perhaps as an standardized example) for those moving into the Microcontainer world. But I want to ask, is there something like this out there or in the works? If not, could somebody hash out how this might be written? [EJB 3.0] - Invoke remote method without remote interface

Hi everybody, I've been struggling for the last 2 days trying to find out how to invoke a remote method of an EJB without having the remote interface on the client. The only issues I'm aware of are more JBPM than Seam * JBPM could do with better/more EL interpretation - for example you can't do <task description="This is an #{foo.bar}" /> as it only uses the EL interpreter if the string starts with #{ * Easier to put custom variables on a task (this is currently a pita, you have to declare custom taskinstances, assginment handlers) I'll put them in JBPM's JIRA when i remember In answer to the original question: I worked around this by extending task instance, and adding a viewId property. Then, in the startTask action method, I just returned that viewId as the place to go. [JBoss Portal] - Having virtual hosts going to different portals

With regular jboss application server, I have wars deployed where the jboss-web.xml defines what virtual host the app should be on and tomcat's server.xml has the definition of these hosts. I'm planning on changing to the portal world and I'm trying to figure out how virtual hosts will work. I would basically want www.domain1.com to go to localhost:8080/portal/portal1 and www.domain2.com to go to localhost:8080/portal/portal2. Is this possible just using jboss portal or is this going to require an apache front? If apache is the way to go should this be done with proxy pass or the mod_jk connector? Yes it is possible, but AFAIK you are losing seam managed transactions. The last time i was using this was in March 2006. Until then i am bound to seam managed transactions. But if i am wrong, and external datasources in combination with seam managed transactions in tomcat are possible, please tell me how. But nevertheless, new projects will be deployed to an application server. [EJB/JBoss] - Matching XDoclet tags for the given ejbgen tags

I am in a project in which we are migrating from EJBGen to XDoclet and WebLogic to JBoss. I could not find the matching XDoclet tags for the ejbgen tags listed below. We are using Jboss as the application server. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
