[JBoss Seam] - How to correctly use @DataModel's rowAvailable?

Hi all, The DVD Store example shows using @DataModel, @Factory and JSF's isRowAvailable(): @DataModel | List<Order> orders; | | @DataModelSelection | @Out(value="myorder", required=false, scope=ScopeType.CONVERSATION) | Order order; | | @Begin @Factory("orders") | public String findOrders() { | : | } <f:subview rendered="#{!orders.rowAvailable}"> | <p>You have not placed any orders.</p> | </f:subview> The above works fine as long as the URL is not reloaded (Ctrl-R in the browser). However, when the URL includes a conversation ID (like &cid=123) then upon reloading the page, rowAvailable might yield false (as rowIndex == -1) while rowCount > 0. Is this the expected behavior? For example: In the online demo (which might be out of date, but I get the same behavior in my own code) clicking "My orders" works fine. Then, clicking Show Details for some order will make the URL include a &cid parameter (in fact named conversationId in that example, like showorders.seam?conversationId=123). Next, Ctrl-R or "Go" for that URL results in "You have not placed any orders". At this point the debug page shows, for example: Component (orders) | class class org.jboss.seam.jsf.ListDataModel | dataModelListeners [] | rowAvailable false | rowCount 22 | rowData java.lang.IllegalArgumentException[row is unavailable] | rowIndex -1 Next, clicking on "My orders" again (which has propagation="none") will correctly show the list again. This, however, triggers the @Factory method, and thus fetches fresh results from the database. In my own code I'm now using rowCount, just like in all the other examples that use @Datamodel. But I'm still wondering if this is the expected behavior? Does one need some additional setup (such as scope in the @DataModel) when relying on isRowAvailable()? Thanks, Arjan. This is not an error. It is a debug statement indicating which user account is being used to log into the database. What is the problem that you are having? [Management, JMX/JBoss] - Question about JMX services for JMS

Everyone, I have found times when my Web application looses its connection to a Message Queue. This causes the JMS Queue to fill up but not have messages be processed. I am looking to see what is available from a JMX standpoint about being able to either restart something on the Message Queue, or even the Web Application to re-establish the connection? My web app connects to the JMS queue on application startup. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. [JBoss Portal] - Newbie: Simple security question

I'm downloaded portal 2.6-beta and I'm going through the quick start tutorial. I've added a new portal page named "starter" to the default portal. Now I would like to add some simple security so that the "starter" tab is only visible when a user with a "starter" role logs in. I haven't been able to accomplish this yet. [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Memory allocations on App Server startup

Everyone, I have been seeing a strange problem when I start up my Jboss Server. There are times when the app server starts up and have about 1.1GB of free memory, but then there are times when i restart the server and then i only see about 785MB of free memory. When I restart, I usually clean out the /tmp and /work directories under my server configuration. My question is that I want to know if there is any good practice to follow when restarting, such as clearing out anything, etc? Or could there be something happening that would cause JBoss to keep things around beyond a server restart? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. [JBoss Seam] - Security - documentation for message keys?!

I want to change the default messages for login-events: In the examples, there are simple things like org.jboss.seam.loginSuccessful=Welcome, #{authenticatedMember.memberName} | in the messages.properties: but I need a complete list of keys for internationalisation (e.g. where does "Please, log in first). [Beginners Corner] - No transaction manager lookup class has been defined.

Hi all. I'm not advanced user on jboss and i cannot find any answers on my question. I have following warning message when starting jboss WARN [TreeCache] No transaction manager lookup class has been defined. Transactions cannot be used but i need transaction. Also I have made a kind-of related change where, as suggested by Bill Burke, we don't use Class.forName() to load classes in the code since they won't pick up classes that are scoped. Also getResource() and getResourceAsStream(). I am just testing this now then will commit.
