[JCA/JBoss] - late data source initialization

JBoss: 4.0.4, jvm: sun j2se 1.5.0_10 I have a struts/hibernate webapp deployed in server/defcp/deploy/myApp.war and it uses a data source bound to jndi. Problem is the webapp/hibernate seems to start to initialize before the datasources are initialized: so the application initialization fails the first time. This probably happens because I have a Class that extends Struts' Plugin class which starts at application startup that make database calls. Then after the datasources are initialized properly, JBoss seems to initalize the webapp/hibernate again, and after that everything seems to work. Is there a way I can force all the datasources to initialize first before JBoss starts to work on the webapps? I looked at http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=DependOnDataSource. If I define a MBean for the datasource, would this problem go away? [JBoss Eclipse IDE (users)] - JBoss IDE 2.0 Beta and Remote Debugging

I realize that JBoss IDE is going through major changes, but right now most of us are using 2.0 Beta with Eclipse 3.2. I notice that there does not seem to be a way to connect to a remote server for debugging, as there was in 1.x. Is that true or am I missing something? I try setting up a plain old Debug configuration (whose parameters are the same) but it doesn't connect for some reason. [Tomcat, HTTPD, Servlets & JSP] - forward and getRequestUri question

I have a jsp act as a servlet like: <servlet-name>myJspServlet</servlet-name> <jsp-file>/myJspServlet.jsp</jsp-file> <servlet-mapping> <servlet-name>MainLayout</servlet-name> <url-pattern>*.my</url-pattern> </servlet-mapping> mean all of request with .my should be processed by the servlet witch represented by myJspServlet.jsp on the myJspServlet.jsp, I output the result of pageContext.getRequestUri() I did some exprement, but the result are diffrent. on JBoss 3.2.3 which based on tomcat4.1, if I request page /abc/a.my, I got /abc/a.my (I call it result A) if I request page/abc/f.jsp, witch do pageContext.forward("/abc/a.my"); I got /myJspServlet.jsp (I call it result B) further, if I change <jsp-file>/myJspServlet.jsp</jsp-file> to <servlet-class>org.apache.jsp.myJspServlet_jsp</servlet-class> I always get result B no matter the request was sent directly or by forward. on tomcat 5.0. I always get result B no matter the request was sent directly or by forward , even I use <jsp-file> in web.xml what's result is correct. is it just a bug in old tomcat. what does specification say(I red, but not clear to me). I looked at that wiki page and it is telling people to get things out of CVS when JBoss source is now in Subversion. Ouch. I think the reason is: 2007-03-12 09:55:17,703 DEBUG [org.apache.catalina.realm.RealmBase] Username abc does NOT have role finance something in your configuration or LDAP tree must be wrong and 'abc' doesn't get principal 'finance' assigned.
