[JBoss jBPM] - TaskMgmtSession and Custom Tasks

Hi, I recently updated to jBPM 3.1 and found that the TaskMgmtSession class doesn't check if a custom TaskInstance class has been declared when loading TaskInstances from Hibernate (e.g. TaskMgmtSession.getTaskInstance). I know that the actual class name is not configured in jbpm.cfg.xml (it used to be an option in jbpm 3.0). Is this a design issue, a bug, or something else? If it's a bug, perhaps the TaskInstanceFactory interface could be changed to add a static method that returns the class or class name of the Object constructed in the createTaskInstance method. The other option is to call the createTaskInstance and use the .class property. Making the heap larger will not help in this case. Memory for threads is typically allocated from the system area. For example, on Windows, each app has a 2GB address spaces for its use and a 2GB address space for the operating systems use. When you allocate a thread in Windows it uses up some of that memory in the 2GB reserved for the operating system's use. You can, however, boot Windows with the 3GB option which allocates 3GB to the application and 1GB to the operating system. If you do that though, you are liable to run out of space in the 1GB if you allocate too many threads. And in that case you would get an error similar to what you saw. [JBoss jBPM] - Can JBPM support the workflow version management?

I want to know jbpm how to solve the following question: I have deploy the flow into server, and a instance have running on that workflow defintion. But now the workflow defintion have changed,we run the new instance with the latest version. But for the existed instance, we still want it to run to end with the old workflow defintion. Could JBPM support that function which called workflow version management, that is a common case in my application. Curious, why do you have setCountries() accepting a list of Country while getCountries() is returning a list of SelectItem? Anyway, in your code, you are creating instances of SelectItem yourself. If this is what you want, then use the standard JSF <f:selectItems> instead. However, you lose two things by doing that: 1- Because you will not be using Seam JSF <s:selectItems>, you can not take advantage of the convenient noSelectionLabel attribute. 2- Your code is now tied to a SelectItem class. Let?s assume that you have a class called Country. Then, to use Seam JSF <s:selectItems>, simply return a list of Country and do not wrap them with SelectItem. Also, make sure that the value binding for the <h:selectOneMenu> resolves to a type Country and not String.
