[JBoss Seam] - wrong error when seam component not found

Hello given this lines in a page: <h:outputLabel value="#{bundle['GelAnalysis.status']}" for="status"/> | <h:selectOneMenu id="status" value="#{GelAnalysisBean.gelanalysis.gelstat}"> | <f:selectItems value="#{statusBacking.statusList}" /> | </h:selectOneMenu> | <h:message for="status" styleClass="errors"/> | results in a conversion error:-( I debugged this kind and after 2 hours i realized that i do not have GelAnalysisBean. This page comes from older times where i called this beasts 'backing'. After i changed GelAnalysisBean into GelAnalysisBacking all is well. The problem here was the misleading errormessage. Since this kind of error is in an EL expression, seam is not to blame? But perhaps someone can put this in the right direction... And if i can get an explanation for this behaviour, perhaps this could help in the future. [JBossWS] - Ability for wstools to ignore properties of superclasses

For methods that are the get/set pairs for transient fields, is there any way to configure wstools (or beans, for that matter) so that certain properties are ignored. I noticed that at the very least, the java.lang.Object.getClass method is ignored. How can I get it to ignore other properties? If I modify the WSDL manually, will this cause any other problems for serialization? This is all totally expected behavior. Anyway Manager is not a public API and you use it at your own risk. Currently there is no way in Seam to end a toplevel conversation and switch to some other conversation, you are supposed to use nested conversations if this is the kind of behavior you want. However, you can probably do it using something like this: Conversation.instance().end(); | Redirect.instance().setViewId("/....xhtml"); | Redirect.instance().setConversationPropagationEnabled(false); | Redirect.instance().setParameter("conversationId", ....); | Redirect.instance().execute(); Let me know if that works. Thanks for the replies. The actual solution was simpler -- I finally saw it because your replies referenced config files not in my jboss instance. The underlying problem: jems-installer-1.2.0.GA.jar contains jbossws 1.0.3.SP1. I assumed that is contained a GA version of jbossws. Simply replace with a current jbossws (like 1.0.4.GA) and the endpoint rewrite problem is solved.
