[JNDI/Naming/Network] - Spring doesn't recognize Jboss naming convention.

Please let me know if this is not right forum to post this question. I am getting error TransactionManager not found pm/TransactionManager not found. I think spring is not able to identify J2EE server which is jboss and looking for wrong jndi path. any clue ? there is applicationContext-dataSource.xml configuration as follows, do you guys need any other configurations ? [JBoss Seam] - user.getRoles() - Seam Security

I've used seam-gen to create a skeleton. I'm looking at Chapter 12. Security in the Seam documentation. It is not clear to me how I am supposed to implement the .getRoles() method in the example 12.3.2 Writing an authentication method. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anybody else seen this problem or am I alone on this one? Just for grins I downloaded a fresh install of JBoss IDE--same result. I was using the same workspace dir so I suppose I can try a fresh workspace in case something is corrupt in there. Thx! Hi Nils, Please note that the only feature that does not work on Mac OS X today is the visual part of the JSF/HTML editor. All the other parts is confirmed by other Mac OS X users to work fine if you take the plugins from the linux distro. Hi John, thanks for your reply I am using Jboss 4.0.5 GA, PostgreSql 8.2 (latest release), I did copy postgresql-8.2-504.jdbc3.jar into server/default/lib. I am migrating from MyEclipse, Had a few EJB deployed in jboss. NetBeans 5.5 bring up jboss smooth. I connect to PostgreSql from IDE without problem, all the table show up. What I did (i try redo it again just now) is : I create a new web project. drap a "DropDownList" into Page, then I drag a table (eg. "testtable") onto the "DropDownList", then wait to the process finished, right click select "bind to data", set the "value field" and "display field". then I click run project, everything smooth, browser bring up the page, no exception on jboss, but on the page, the dropdownlist contain nothing, just blank, click to view the drop down list, still nothing, looks like no data been read in runtime! Hello, I see the same problem (with portal 2.4). I have opened a JIRA : http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBPORTAL-1302 the PortalMetaData() code look strange. but I recall that there is something about the available portlet mode and/or window state in the portal definition. I mean, may be those meta data are what the JSR-168 say to be the basic, by default, modes and states. and the "supported" states are defined somewhere else. anyway, the portal does not warn if we ask for a state that is not supported. and also the icon should not be shown...
