Thanks a lot. I played a little bit around and now I could generate a patch which adds the attribute 'forceUidInNodeName' to ClusterPartiton/ClusterPartitonMBean which is false per default, which means that the behaviour is untouched and when its set to true the UID is used. But to implement it as an attribute depends on the decision how unique the node name should be. If it is a bug to use the JNDI-Port we should not implement an attribute, but if it is a feature, e.g. fro readability or if someone don't need the uniqueness across restarts, an attribute would be a good idea, I think. Anyway, are you interested in the the two patches? I could add them to the JIRA-entry. I guess you are talking about session time out. See: http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=HttpSessionTimeout You will need to change the session timeout in all the war files of the portal, including portal-server.war, portal-core.war... If you are only using JBoss Portal on your JBoss AS instance, it's probably less error-prome to change this at the tomcat level as explained in the first section of the Wiki. Hi, I am calling ejb from a web application which is inside second.ear and ejb related files are in .war/WEB-INF/lib directory. I also tried by changing deploy/ear-deployer.xml and conf/jboss-service.xml as callByValue value as true. But still same problem is coming. [EJB 3.0] - Invoking session object from other web application

I am new to EJB3. Created a new EJB3 TRAIL project in eclipse and deployed one stateless session bean. I created a client jsp in the same Trail project and deployed Trail.ear in jboss default directory. It went well and successfully invoked the session bean from client. Next I create a dynamic web project WebTest and copied the client jsp code from Trail application to the web project, then i created a WebTest.war file and deployed that in same jboss server where my Session bean is deployed in Trail application. I got the following error while i Invoke JSP client of WebTest project.
