[JBoss Seam] - Update database record with EntityManager

I've seen several examples for persisting entity objects, and even removing them from databases, but I can't seem to find a good example of how to use the EntityManager to update a database record for an entity. For example, if I have an Account entity object called "acct", and I've made a few changes to it, isn't there a call similar to "em.persist" that I can make that will update this record? I've seen an example where a transaction is started, the entity properties are set, then the transaction is closed, but there's hopefully a different way than this, using just a reference to the modified entity. Maybe I've just not been looking in the right place, but any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

[JBoss Seam] - Embeded EJB 3.0 and Integration with Legacy Struts

Hopefully this will not be a crazy thing to be asking, but I have an odd situation. There are actually two questions here:
1. We are running Sun's app server v8.2 which does not support EJB 3.0. The system admins are planning on going to 9.2 which does support it, but it is not slated to be done until the end of the year. The question is, is it possible to use JBoss' embeddable EJB 3.0 container inside of another app server and have Seam use the lookup for the embedded container?
2. We have a Struts application that is going to be slowly migrated over time into the Seam environment. Are there any known issues that make it incredibly difficult to have the two living together? I am sure there are a few "gotchas", I'm not really nervous about them, it is the show stoppers that I would like to know about up front.
I appreciate any help that anyone can give,

[JBoss Seam] - seam generate-entities

Hi there,
after running "seam generate-entities" to generate the POJO's that represent the entities I get an error.
I think that is associated with the fact that my MySQL tables are using the "latin-1" charset and because they have names with accents (e.g. acção).
The output that I've is this:

Doesn't hbm2java support table names with accents??
